Moa Imperial Stout is a very strong, upfront and rich beer hopped to over 100 IBUs. Aged with French oak, this beer not only displays coffee, mocha and smoked cedar characters but also some sweet and savoury notes unique to Moa Imperial Stout. A great beer to cellar and age.

Tasting Notes
Moa Imperial Stout is a very strong, bold upfront and rich offering of a famous beer style. Aged with French Oak, this beer not only displays coffee and mocha charters but also some sweet and spicy notes. A tannin like finish and an oak induced mellow bitterness makes it a serious stout. Moa Imperial Stout is best served just below room temperature in a tulip glass.

Drake (14059) - Milwaukee, Wisconsin, USA - JAN 1, 2014
375 mL (I think?) bottle from Beer Run, opened 12/12/13. Pours a dark brown color with a thin brown head. Fair head retention. Aroma of bitter chocolate, nuts, cocoa, red wine. The taste is bitter roasted malts, bitter chocolate, leather, tart dark fruits. Medium bodied. Decent.

Poured into a snifter from a smaller sized corked bottle. Nice looking brew with one of the creamiest heads I have ever seen from out of a bottle. Somewhat of a thin palate. Not as stout like as I expected but still very good. Notes of coffee and chocolate and oak and, maybe, that was pinot noir I was tasting though not sure how much of that really comes through.

Bottle from Taphouse by Brewerkz, Singapore
Dark color, almost black, with creamy beige head. The aroma is dynamic, delicate nutty malts and some good hops. The body is weaker than other Imperial Stouts; good balanced flavor of roasted and nutty malts, with some chocolate; also the hopping shows its good qualities; the final is balanced, moderately resiny; overall the sweetness is very limited; hints of wood and coffee, tar.
Not very Imperial, not very Stout (more a strong Brown Ale), but it’s an excellent beer that grows into you.

Rich and creamy stout. Light off white head. If such a thing as a session stout exists, this is it. Safe. Not outstanding. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

Draft at Vermont Ale House in Stowe. Medium to lighter bodied black pour. Roasty with a lot of coffee notes in aroma and flavor. Light chocolate but coffee is main flavor here. Decent

375ml green bottle, corked. Black pour, sturdy and lasting light brown head. Nose has chocolate and cocoa, a bit fruity. Taste has cocoa/chocolate, caramel, coffee, light fruity note, touch of liquorice. Some bitter hops, heavy roast and some warming alcohol and winey notes on the way down, bit of oak. An interesting Imperial stout.

Bottled: unk Pours dark black with some tan foam. Nose comes forward with apple skins, ink, some hops, oak, and soil. Flavor is charred oak, tannins, bitter, generally reminds me of burnt meat from a grill. Medium bodied with really hi carb and a difficult finish as the flavor continues to linger. This is not a good beer. Serving type: bottle 06-12-2012

Awesome imperial stout, bought at whole foods, thanks SW2013, super rich with coffee and mocha, yum

BillWyce (1098) - Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, USA - DEC 7, 2013
From notes: Poured opaque black with a 1-finger mocha-colored head. Roasty coffee aroma with tannic and woody notes underneath. Full body, a touch thick, with a light astringency to the finish. Coffee flavor with a nice roastiness. A wine-like note appears beneath before the coffee returns at the back. A woody note lingers on the tongue, with a wine-like note as well. The pinot becomes more pronounced as it warms.
