COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Moa Imperial Stout is a very strong, upfront and rich beer hopped to over 100 IBUs. Aged with French oak, this beer not only displays coffee, mocha and smoked cedar characters but also some sweet and savoury notes unique to Moa Imperial Stout. A great beer to cellar and age.

Tasting Notes
Moa Imperial Stout is a very strong, bold upfront and rich offering of a famous beer style. Aged with French Oak, this beer not only displays coffee and mocha charters but also some sweet and spicy notes. A tannin like finish and an oak induced mellow bitterness makes it a serious stout. Moa Imperial Stout is best served just below room temperature in a tulip glass.

A black beer, a head is medium and beige. Aroma has liquorice, sweet and toffeeish maltyness, some chocolate and vanilla, hint of alcohol from barrel. Taste has liquorice, coffee, roastiness, storng bitterness that's nicely drying the sweetness. Almost full bodied, smooth. Good beer but more could be expected from the IS.

500ml bottle thanks to Sean. Pours out dark brown topped with a tan head. Nose is good not like the wine barrel version that was a total mess roast malts coffee. Taste is more of the roast malts nice coffee and chocolate.

The longer it sits and the warmer it gets the smoothness increases. Fantastic stout

500ml bottle. Pours black. Smoke, oak, vanilla, cherry, raspberry, dates, touch of spice. Medium body with heavy carbonation. Nice complex stout with plenty of character from the oak. Really nice and at a crazy low price. Normally I wouldn’t mention things like that, but this bottle cost me $6!!!

It pours a dark brown. It has plenty of fruit flavors from dark fruits with coffee and chocolate. There is a roasted element as well and hints of tropical fruit.

Uma stout com sabor particular, um pouco azedo em seu final. Cor negra con espuma marrom. Aroma discreto para uma stout, com notas leves de caramelo, mas sem as tradicionais notas de café ou chocolate.

This impressive and unique oak-aged brew was for me the clear highlight and a new personal favorite from the Columbia World Beer Festival 2017! From a bottle imported all the way from Middle-Earth, this poured a dense dark black hue with a khaki foam head that steadily lingers throughout. Aroma was a relatively unsophisticated but rich roasted malt, which transitioned to a sweet mocha baseline for the taste, with a much fuller complexity of coffee and other malt flavors, along with notes of rustic oak and also lighter green wood - like fresh cedar - and concluded with an aftertaste of bitter coffee and chocolate malt. Medium-bodied and deliciously smooth. I will have to search out more bottles of this in my future!

UPDATED: MAY 26, 2017 From a 500ml bottle on 19/2/2017 (shared by Butz with thanks). Pours close to black with a medium to big head. The nose features chocolate, basement and booze notes. Flavour wise, it starts out with sweet chocolate, some caramel and lots of roast/burnt malt, and some oak, which is followed b a distinct bitter/sour finish, which lingers in the mouth. The texture is creamy and the carbonation moderate. Not too dusty, but just a touch harsh at the back to really hit the spot..
