3+ Hazy straw, loose head settles to a ring.
6+ Loads more of those fruity citrussy hops in the retronasals, a bit nettly too, some grass. Very ale-like with its fruity, really nice taste.
4 Tingling palate, crisp carbonation. Simple light sweet bready malts in the finish, and more of those lovely fruity hops. A puckering bite. Great stuff
13 This is as good as a *good* hoppy golden ale. More body, and it woul rival the likes of Petolintu. Unfiltered beer *ROCKS*
courtesy of Laurent Mousson; labelled Moa Original - cloudy blond colour and with a little white foam left; fresh aromatic hoppy aroma with notes of dust and undefined herbs; medium-bodied and with a very low bitterness, fizzy aftertaste of dust and almonds - a good surprise hawthorne00 (3906) - Melbourne, AUSTRALIA - FEB 4, 2011
UPDATED: JAN 11, 2013 Very heavy 375ml bottle. Slightly hazy gold, large starkly white head. Aroma of lemon zest, earth, spices - quite Wit-like. Mouthfeel is rather too fizzy at first but is better with a swirl. Taste has sweetness and sourness of bread, balancing bitterness. Lemon, white pepper in a pretty dry finish. Straightforward but really nice malt flavours under lively hops. Another really good Kiwi lager. [3.7]mkel07 (5848) - Brisbane, AUSTRALIA - JAN 15, 2011
330ml bottle. Just bumped the appearance score. What a lovely drop this is.
375ml bottle. Well carbonated as the crisp white foam starts bubbling from the bottle as soon as it is opened and explodes into the glass in a big white foam cloud. Light straw colour once the foam finally settles. Lemon rind aroma that also has some hop aromas. The flavour is light and airy once you cut through all of the foam. Light on the palate. michael-pollack (4959) - King of Prussia, Pennsylvania, USA - DEC 17, 2010
375ml Bottle: GUSHER! Aroma of pils malts, slight yeast, slight lemon, and light hops. Poured yellow in color with a large, creamy, dense, off-white head that diminished but lasted throughout. Cloudy. Very sparkling. Flavor is lightly sweet and medium bitter. Tastes of Pils malts, noble hops, light yeast, and grain. Light to medium body. Dry texture. Average to lively carbonation. Pils malt and hop finish is medium bitter and dry.

Wow. These 375mL bottles are new on shelves and just brilliant...bright and attractive nose, very clean, nicely balanced (could be a little crisper given the style, think more of a Belgian take on a Helles), beautiful appearance. Succulent and impossible not to love. fata2683 (2176) - Tucson, Arizona, USA - JUL 28, 2010
bottle at the Tally tasting, pours pale yellow, tall white head. Aroma is lemon and grassy pale malts. Flavor is thin pale malts, some citrus notes and yeasty, lemon peel finish. hopscotch (11051) - Vero Beach, Florida, USA - JUN 27, 2010
Bottle… Tally Tasting ‘10… Hazy yellow lager with a huge, white, frothy head. Good retention. The nose is spicy, herbal, grainy and a touch skunky/lightstruck. Light-bodied and fizzy. The flavor isn’t bad; well-balanced with sturdy bitterness. Finishes crisp, bitter and a touch skunky. If the beer had been fresher and the bottle had been treated better on its warm, bumpy trip from New Zealand, I probably would have awarded a higher score… but it wasn’t, so I won’t. Shared at the Tallahassee tasting. 750 courtesy OhMyBock. Cloudy yellow pour with a big fizzy white head. Surprising fruity lemon aroma and flavor. Really not bad! PorterPounder (7897) - Tallahassee, Florida, USA - JUN 27, 2010
UPDATED: FEB 3, 2012 Rerate Picked up at New Leaf Market, Tallahassee - aroma much more pronounced and lemony, nice hazy pour, crisp pilsener flavor with some honey sweetness. Original 2.9 Tallahassee Tasting at Proof/Liquor Loft - light gold pour, white foamy head. Saaz-induced hoppy aroma. Flavor has some hints of lemon, a bit of bubblegum. some grainy notes in the back end. Decently thick mouthfeel. Decent. Thanks to Ohmybock for bringing this.
