On tap at Gordon Biersch SLC Airport, pours a clear pale yellow with a small white head. Aroma brings out light grass and biscuity malt. Flavour is near tasteless, with light grassiness and dry biscuity notes. Lame but drinkable.

on tap-pours a white head and yellow color. Aroma is sweet. Taste is sweet medium malt, citrus hops. Does not come across to me as a pilsner. OK carbonation.

Draft. Golden beer with a whitish head. Light grass and light mineral aroma. Mineral and light spice flavor. Medium-light bodied. Mineral notes and light spice linger with light grass.

On tap at the brewery. Pours a clear orange color with a very small white head. A sweet aroma if corn and grains, honey and light herbal hops. The flavor is a smooth and clean sweet Pils with some grains and light fruity touches, honey, very smooth. Nice.

Draft. Head is initially small, frothy, white, mostly diminishing. Body is dark yellow. Aroma is lightly malty (grain, caramel), moderately hoppy (apricot, melon), with notes of butter and fruit cocktail. Flavor is moderately sweet, lightly acidic, lightly bitter. Finish is lightly to moderately sweet, lightly acidic, lightly to moderately bitter. Medium body, watery texture, lively/fizzy carbonation. Another one of those unfortunate fruity, diacetyl-tainted pale/golden ales being marketed as a pils, or so it seems empirically. The name is fitting, though, given the prickly carbonation. Not so much for the bitterness, as it’s too sweet and unbalanced for the style. A poor showing.

On tap at the brewery. Clear, pale golden appearance with a small white head. Aroma of toasted grains and light spicy hops. Similar flavor, smooth, crisp and easy to drink. Fairly average overall, kind of refreshing I suppose.

Reminiscent of good Czech beers. Good stuff ... bitterness bites through. Nice straw color. Power to the pils!

A very simple beer but good. Has a little grassiness but is very smooth. I imagine it’s very popular with bikers after a long hot day.

kaser (6430) - Chicago, Illinois, USA - MAR 9, 2015
Golden and clear pour at Salt Lake City airport. White head. Crisp fruity and smooth. Very good for a Pilsner
