On tap at the brewery. Clear, pale golden appearance with a small white head. Aroma of toasted grains and light spicy hops. Similar flavor, smooth, crisp and easy to drink. Fairly average overall, kind of refreshing I suppose.

Draft. Head is initially small, frothy, white, mostly diminishing. Body is dark yellow. Aroma is lightly malty (grain, caramel), moderately hoppy (apricot, melon), with notes of butter and fruit cocktail. Flavor is moderately sweet, lightly acidic, lightly bitter. Finish is lightly to moderately sweet, lightly acidic, lightly to moderately bitter. Medium body, watery texture, lively/fizzy carbonation. Another one of those unfortunate fruity, diacetyl-tainted pale/golden ales being marketed as a pils, or so it seems empirically. The name is fitting, though, given the prickly carbonation. Not so much for the bitterness, as it’s too sweet and unbalanced for the style. A poor showing.

On tap at Gordon Biersch SLC Airport, pours a clear pale yellow with a small white head. Aroma brings out light grass and biscuity malt. Flavour is near tasteless, with light grassiness and dry biscuity notes. Lame but drinkable.

Draft. Golden beer with a whitish head. Light grass and light mineral aroma. Mineral and light spice flavor. Medium-light bodied. Mineral notes and light spice linger with light grass.

A very simple beer but good. Has a little grassiness but is very smooth. I imagine it’s very popular with bikers after a long hot day.

On tap at Gracie’s in Salt Lake City. The straw-colored pour into the nonic glass is very lightweight and minimally coated in a linen white foam. The aroma is grassy with a bit of sweet dough. Some banana. A light weight body on my tongue, a decent carbonation carries the flavor through to a short and yeasty afterward. Not exciting, a bit lightweight even for a Pilsner. Almost watered down. Won’t go back.

Tap. Clear straw gold. Sweet grain and hay in the aroma, with slight grass. Fairly sweet grain for the style, and bitterness could be higher. Some ok doughiness. Light soft body.

Golden and clear pour at Salt Lake City airport. White head. Crisp fruity and smooth. Very good for a Pilsner
