Draft at Moat Mountain Smoke House & Brewing Co in N Conway, NH. Clear dark amber color; Lighter color than most brown ales. No head or lacing. Thin mouthfeel for the style. Flavor is more like a rauchbier than a brown. Smoky, smooth and clean. Good. Maybe they gave me the wrong beer but I like it.

Draft at vignola. Pours brown with a white head. Leaves some lacing in the glass. Solid caramel notes on the nose and tongue with a slight nutty note. Finished clean. Solid enough.

Nearly clear brown or with a lasting beige skim. Aroma is malty, slightly nutty with faint hints of cooked sugar. Flavor is similar, surprised it’s not marketed as a nut brown. Lots of hazelnut, filbert. A little watery and finished a tad astringent, but quite enjoyable all around.

Nice creamy head and rich brown color. Smooth full taste. Great in a warm pub on a cold night. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

Draft pour. The beer is a clear copper with a beige head of foam. The aroma has toffee and nutty caramel notes. Fairly sweet taste. Medium body and medium carbonation.

Can from HB Provisions. Creamy nutty brown sugar aroma with faint, sherry-like adverbs. Hazy ruddy brown under a lasting off-white sheet. Flavour is much like aroma with nutty brown sugar along with mocha and hazelnuts. Moderate bitterness. Medium light body, medium carbonation, crisp.

On tap @ Moat Mountain. Light reddish brown colored beer with a thin off-white head. Has a nice roasted malt and cocoa character right away. Slight acidity to the finish, but otherwise good toffee sweetness, some toasted nuts, and plenty of bread. Minimal bitterness. Probably my favorite of their normal lineup.

Weak brown at just over 5%. What bones are they shaking? Yeah it's a tall can but its not really that stand out ish. Too much water not enuf gravity! ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone
