A Mes rate: Gravicask at GBBF.rauchbier (3882) - Isle Of Beer, Lincolnshire, ENGLAND - AUG 14, 2008
Brown amber colour with a thin beige rim. Spruce, hops and yes, Mr. Silk is right, some frankincense. Plenty of ginger too. Wheaty malt finish. So so.
Cask, GBBF 08. Hazy brown, thin shortlived off white head, moderate condition. Gently woody aromas with hints of sweet malt and some herbal notes, dry bitter and earthy in the mouth with some suggestion of sap and a vaguely phenolic edge, lingering dry bitter herbal sappiness with a low residual sweetness. maeib (8749) - Wootton, Northampton, Northamptonshire, ENGLAND - AUG 13, 2008
Cask conditioned - gravity dospense - GBBF 2008. A slightly murky brown beer. The aroma is sour chocolate with acidity. The taste is more sourness with wood mixed in. By far the worst US beer I had at the fest. cgarvieuk (24230) - Edinburgh, SCOTLAND - AUG 12, 2008
Cask at GBBF 2008 ... light brown ... ligth hop ... woody light malts ... sweet hop little lime .. Ethereal (2421) - Los Angeles, California, USA - AUG 9, 2008
Cask at GBBF 08. Cloudy amber with an interesting nose and flavour - juniper, incense, wood sap and varied spices that reminded me of my mum’s kitchen in my childhood. Average weight. An interesting beer.
