Pours muddy brown out of a foamy pitcher. Mild spice, fruityness, and mild sweet malt notes in the nose. Flavor is semi spicy, medicinal, and odd dryness. This was a miss and the name is "Belgian." The bartender asked me what kind of Belgian style I thought it was-I didn’t know. ContemplateBeer (2089) - Louisville, Kentucky, USA - JUN 24, 2012
Nobody seemed to really know what this was, so, for now, I have simply labeled it "Belgian Ale." Aroma of chocolate, light rum, brown sugar and apple. Appearance is cloudy brown with tan head. Flavor of sweet, bready malt, some fruit, and a slight alcohol touch in the finish. Palate was creamy and sticky. This wasn’t too bad.
