Modelo Especial pours a pale golden with a bit more head than other imported cervezas with light-moderate carbonation. There is definitely more of a malt characteristic than Corona, which makes its flavor slightly more complex but much less refreshing. In fact, this beer is pretty devoid of anything noticeable in terms of hops, except for what is standard in any lower end lager. Furthermore, the aroma is very faint, a bit sweet, and from my experience both the scent and flavor are adversely effected by the clear glass bottle, as they can be a bit on the skunky side; cans are the way to go with this one. It’s decent enough, but like many others in its genre, just not worth the import price tag.

Pours clear golden. Aroma is malty, light, bread. Taste is close to water, slightly malty.

Pours a very clear shiny golden with no head to speak of and certainly no lacing. Lots of bubbles so surely it is highly carbonated. Nose is pretty tame, really, and pretty much corn exclusive. Taste has a slight acidic edge and is pretty corn-heavy as well. It is dry, though. Body is very light and carbonation pretty high. Watery... Just a weak macro "pilsner".

Again, tried it, done. Nothing much to a very common beer, below average quality.

I used to hate this beer before I really got into craft beer. Now that almost all I drink is craft beer, this is my go to light beer. Something u can drink a lot of and doesn’t taste like water like similar priced beer.

Botella 35,5 cl. Color dorado clarito. Espuma? En seguida desaparece. Aroma,sabor... Pasada. Contiene 2 (dos) "E". Gases. A ver, cuando se pone en la calle + 40ºC y tomar esta maravilla quimica, cambiare mi opinion.

Aroma: Subtle grass/cereal notes Appearance: Light golden color with clear liquid and a minimal white head. Taste: Light sweet notes behind a medium sourness. Palate: Light body with thin liquid and average carbonation. Subtle bitter finish. Overall: The black (and I think original) vesion is Negra Modelo and it is already soft, so a pale lager version was not surprise to be so bland.

Dose in einer Bar in Tampa. Sehr viel Kohlensäure, Aroma und Geschmack nach süßlichen Malz. Letztendlich aber trinkbar.

Go to beer on a hot sunny day! A posh Corona for sure but very much a fantastic session beer.

Pours gold with a thin white head. Aroma is of malt and yes, grapes. Flavor is of malt and water. No aftertaste which isn’t surprising since there isn’t much taste anyway.
