COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Light Modelo, a light lager type beer, was introduced in the domestic market in 1994, when it was considered the appropriate moment to introduce a light beer into the market. In 2002, the name was changed to Modelo Light® and the beer was given a more youthful and attractive image.

Can. Pale yellow colour, small white head. Aroma is maize, some skunky notes, grains and mild herbs. Flavour is maize, some slight earthy and herbal notes with quite a dusty tone to it. Unpleasant.

Lata, de PEMEX. Pours a flat, dead-looking morning urine yellow into the wine glass. Has some vague malty-grainy-estery stuff on the nose, indistinct in the way a hot dog is an amalgamation of everything scraped off the killing room floor. Taste is more straightforward - just grainy, estery macrobrew. Finishes tart, grainy. You know when you could have bought a better beer but went for the tick? The better beer was Victoria. I want my 14 pesos back.

Water down a regular Modelo and presto! watery, grain flavored beer. Not the worst light beer out there.

Pale, watery, boring. Finish BEFORE the "Extra Frio" disappears from the can!

Can from the Isla grocery store with a label that is a straight lift from Coors Light including the "cold enough" color indicator. It’s not offensive but it’s far from good. Just a watery pale lager.

Modelo Light has a fairly thick, off-white head, a clear, bubbly, golden appearance, and even a bit of lacing left on the glass. The aroma is a rich and sweet barley malt. Taste is of a biscuity, sweet, and even slightly syrupy malt. Mouthfeel is light and watery, and Modelo Light finishes crisp, clean, and refreshing. One of the best light beers I’ve ever tried, and I pick up no adjuncts with it. RJT

Ljusgul i färgen, litet vitt skum. Doftar och smakar vattnigt trist, majs, lite citrus. lätt unken malt. Varför?
