750ml bottle. Pours a slightly murky gold with strong white head. Funky nose with hints of fruits from the wine. Light body with that strong acidic start again but a lot more flavour present. Interesting but I preferred the red version.

750ml bottle acquired via trade way back in the day on BA. Finally time to open all these Modern Times dealies. Pours a pale glowing golden amber hue, pale with a decent glow, firmer haziness and big bubbly offwhite head. A slow gusher of a bottle with big head, nice lacing and retention on that level. Aromas show a bit of spiciness, distinct mellow sweet, cool, mellow pinot grigio essence meets subtle earthy and bready malts, a kiss of honeycrisp and estery fruit. Funk and grapeskin, cobwebs and more pinot grigio grapes. Initial is lighter end of the fold in body, a touch of girth with bready malts, subtle apple, white grapes and faint spiciness. Smoothed out vanilla, mellow fruity sweetness, mellow spice and firmer funk starts as we begin to round the corner. Cobwebs, dust, a bit of pineapple. This one ends up a bit more complex back here, the pinot grigio and winey essence tapers off a bit with the funk coming firmer and dry, dusty as we get going in the backend and finish. Some bitterness, funk, a bit of life and complexity. The sweetness tapers off, the funk and grape essence lingers nicely. A solid pretty pour, alluring grape driven nose, and light enough beer with some intriguing funk profile elements that work well. I dig this, it really flows nicely, the flavors are never overstated and the funk profile really is on without being abrasive or harsh, overdone. Perhaps a bit of time allowed this one some more funk in the backend. Tasty.

Bottle courtesy of mybestfriend. Pours very hazy yellow with a big frothy white head that slowly dissipates while leaving some spotty trace on the glass while slowly dissipating. Smell is fruity and funky with crackers, white bread, grapes, mealy apples, hay, dry soil, barnyard and lemon zest. Taste is very tiny sour, slightly bitter, fruity and funky. Mouthfeel is dry, champagne-like and medium bodied. Finish is tiny sour and bitter with newly apples, grapes, wood and funk.

Bottle at home. Pours clear orange with a medium, frothy white head, medium retention with light lacing. Aroma is moderate Pinot Grigio, grapes, oak, biscuit malt and funky Brettanomyces. Flavor is moderate Pinot Grigio, light oak notes, cracker malt, pear esters, funky farmhouse Brettanomyces and a dry finish. Medium body and moderate carbonation.

Cloudy yellow, huge grape nose. Taste is mild sour with alot of stone fruit juicyness.

The beer is a light tannish yellow. Fairly pale. Quite cloudy. Large white head. Beer gushed some, even quite cold. The aroma has moderate grape-iness, some light stone fruit, a nice fresh grain flavor. Medium funk, which is all rather fruity. It could use some more cheesy action. Taste has a plastic-ish note to it. I wouldn’t call it juicy, as the label states. It’s actually a bit bitter. There’s a touch of harshness in the finish, sort of an odd chalkiness possibly from the must. Really, my main problem is that the bitterness just seems at odds with the grapes and probably gets in their way. Fairly creamy feel. I want to like this beer more, but the juice just isn’t there for me.

Shared by Michael T. Thank you. Bright yellow body, moderate haze, small white head. Lovely aroma with white grape, vanilla, oak, wine, lime, kiwi. Mild sweetness. Ample wine character throughout. Mineral water and earthy character. Tasty.
