Very dark brown pour with a tall, fine-grained tan head that gives way to a thin, velvety lacing. Notes of roasted coffee, cocoa, chocolate, mocha, lighty spicy rye, a bit of smoke and a bit of licorice, chicory. Pitch black with foamy, medium espresso head. Nose is coffee, bready yeast, licorice, some spices. Medium bitter taste with notes of coffee, licorice, cereals, biscuits.
