COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Lomaland is Belgian-style saison thats both complex and quaffable. In keeping with the farmhouse tradition, Lomaland is brewed with barley, wheat, and corn, giving it a complex and delicious malt body that pairs beautifully with food. Czech Saaz hops are added in the kettle to give it a lightly grassy, peppery note and just enough bitterness to cleanse the palate. Its distinctively rustic, earthy aroma comes from the unique blend of traditional Belgian yeast strains (95% Dupont/5% Westmalle) we use to ferment it.

Pours a slightly hazy pale golden with velvety white head. Aroma of pepper, hay, clove, and slight citrus. Very dry with your typical saison flavors. Slight pepper hay upfront with mild bitter citrus notes coming thru. Would be a great aperitif as it cleanses the palate. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

This beer possesses a wonderful mix of spice, malt and fruit. A smooth but weighty body and a long satisfying finish. I think this in 16oz can might be a new favorite for me, really happy they have started bringing this to Oregon.

16 oz can poured. This is the side of Modern Times I havent seen yet. Quite enjoyable for sure. Hazy darker golden pour with a ton of lasting foam head. Belgian aroma with a soft lemon tart. Supreme refreshment with this beer. Drinks so easy. Very pleasant. Soft spice, moderate wheat linger. Cool late. Really into this one. Would love to try the variations. Especially cucumber. Solid Belgian saison with a ton of flavor here.

16oz can from Lifesource in Salem OR $2.59 Hazy yellow colour with a nice sized thick white head. Weird funky roasted peanut like aroma? But then i get the traditional yeast funk. Weird but it doesnt put me off. Taste is better..yeast, lemon , hay..nice, Nice medium mouth feel could use a bit more carbonation for style..but this may because its canned and not on tap. OK beer but not fantastic.

Always have to hand it to these guys for doing what they say on the tin. Its bright, slightly rustic and a sharp, very drinkable saison. Feels like Ive been having a few saisons recently (gotta get back to my IPAs) and this is the best of the crop. Slightly fruity and floral from the hops with a little grass and pepper. Very light in the body and a little carbonated/yeasty. Well done.

Can. A- Fruity Belgian yeast, spices, subtle rubber. A- Yellow color, hazy liquid, white head. T- Floral, white pepper, spices, wheat. P- Medium body, average texture, average carbonation, boring finish. O- This might just be Modern Times most mediocre beer. It was fine by all means but wasnt outstanding like most others Ive had from them. Pretty typical for what you would expect. Almost tasted more like a Belgian Wit than Saison though.
