COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Fermented with the uber-tropical Brett Trois strain, this beer is radically different from your typical IPA or Brett beer. It is a laser beam of pineapple, with a towering Citra/Centennial/Chinook aroma.

Pint at brewery. Hazy golden yellow, one finger white head, good enough retention. Big tropical fruit pineapple and grapefruit nose, definitely getting some brett (a la RR Beatification). Never noticed much, if any, in LA’s Mo Betta Bretta (even popped a bottle that was a few years old). Not funky in this case, just way fruity. Flavor follows, nice and dry. Bitterness fairly low. Slightly earthy finish. Mod carbonation, medium light body. Very solid, and doesn’t make me want to write off 100% brett beers anymore.

Clear light golden with a big pillowy white head giving a big bright funky bretty nose with tones of pineapple and barn funk and light citrus peel. Bright crisp flavor that’s founded on pale malt and light straw tones with a bright pineappley bretty tropical barnyard funk. Lots of dusty horsey notes with lingering brett and crisp pale malt and pineapple.

750 ml bottle. Pours hazy dark yellow gold with a huge growing bubbly white head that retains well that leaves some lacing.

The aroma is bretty, slightly band-aid, tropical fruit.

The flavor is sweet bready malt and tropical fruit with a bitter, slightly acidic, brett finish and some spicy hops. The mouthfeel is medium to full bodied with low carbonation.

Overall, a nice brett IPA.

Hazy, somewhat tropical, and sweet yeasty flavor and aroma. The color is murky, hazy yellowish to light orange with a thin, soapy, and ultra-fizzybhead of white foam. Not as tropical pronounced as the label claims, but has a tropical influence nonetheless. The Brett strain screams out through the tropical IPA base making this unique, flavorful, and a tad misleading.

(Tap sample @ CBC 2016 Red Session, Copenhagen) Pours hazy medium gold with an average white head. Nose is lead by hop character but contains the qualities you expect from an all-Brett IPA (though this is Sacc Trois...), soapy florals, pineapple, citrus pith, guava, bit of grass, a little tart, with lightly bready pale malt. Flavour is mellow and toned down with low bittering hops, a solid all-Brett IPA that shows the interplay between esters and hops used. Quite a lot of guava, some citrus and pineapple, soft grassy bitterness, dry and well-attenuated, with crackery, lightly dusty yeast and malt notes on the finish. Medium-bodied, soft carbonation. Not super-flashy but nice!

750 mL bottle. Cloudy yellow orange body with an enormous white head. Overflows the glass on a small pour. Smells of tropical hops, soft doughy pale malts, and a light brett influence of earthiness and yeastiness. Tastes more bretty. Orange, tropical fruits, and sweet pale malt all before the brett kicks in. Bitter, yeasty, spicy, and dry finish from the brett. Medium body. High carbonation. I didn’t get the bottling date, but I’d be interested to know how this has developed and will develop. It’s pretty bretty already.

sonnycheeba (6437) - Federal Hill, Baltimore, Maryland, USA - MAR 11, 2017
Bottle shared by beerandblues2. Pours hazy golden amber. Aroma and flavor is white grape, toast, floral notes, Saison yeast esters, faint brett funk, and soft earthiness. Medium body.
