Formerly known as Modrá Hvězda 12° Kvasnicový Světlý Léžák. Unfiltered.

From tap at the brewpub. Pours hazy orange with a slowy collapsing white head. Aroma is hoppy, mild spiced and yeasty. Yeasty flavour is light malt base and decent bitterhops level. Goes into a light spiced and bitter finish.

Christian (13670) - Odense, DENMARK - JUL 13, 2008
UPDATED: FEB 13, 2011 Hazy golden with a lasting white head. Sulphur dominates the aroma with some malt and grassy hop notes. Sweet flavour dominated by the sulphur and malt.

Re-rated at Zly Casy, February 2011. Still a lot of DMS sulphur, still a sweet malty beer. Raised the numbers a bit though

rickgordon (3878) - Göteborg, SWEDEN - JUL 12, 2008
Draught at the brewpub. Cloudy pale yellow with creamy head. Very eggy, sulphury aroma with hops lurking behind. Even more eggs in flavour, with struggling hops behind. And how they struggle...

Tap @ the brewpub.
Pours hazy golden with a nice, creamy, white head. Aroma is grassy, weak butter, slightly zesty fruity and with a fine doughy graininess. Fine, creamy mouthfeel. Flaovur is lightly fruity, with apples peeping through. Good chewy maltiness and a fair amount of hoppiness in the finish. A good pilsner.

imdownthepub (14554) - Banbury, Oxfordshire, ENGLAND - JUL 11, 2008
Draught at the Brewpub. Clouded gold with white head. Thin and slightly tart beer with a sulphery nose. Poor and tasteless beer. Not too good.

harrisoni (18578) - Ashford, Kent, ENGLAND - JUL 9, 2008
Draught at the brewpub during RBESG08. Hazy pale gold. Thin off white. This isn’t at all bad. Plenty of character, bit of hop bite. Definitely yeasty. As I say, ok character. Fine.

Draught (rating #5000!). Pale yellow colour, mediumsized head. Aroma is eggy, malty and yeasty. Flavour is much the same. Blech... what a beer for #5000....

ogivlado (7824) - Zagreb, CROATIA - JUL 9, 2008
Draught at the brewpub.
Hazy pale golden coloured, small white head, fresh hoppy nose. The taste is also fresh hoppy, slight malty and mild yeasty with bitter finish and long lasting aftertaste. The best Modrá Hvězda beer.

(Draught at the brewpub, on June 28, 2008)
Shady yellow color, white head. Yeasty dough scent. Bitter yeasty taste. Moussy mouthfeel, medium bitterness.

omhper (25128) - Tyresö, SWEDEN - JUL 6, 2008
Draught at the brewpub. Cloudy golden, creamy head. Orangey nose with lots of fresh saaz hops. Soft and creamy with medium body. Long oily bitter finish. A full flavoured 12°, containing everything I want in a Czech pilsener. By far my favourite beer at the brewpub!
