Draught at the brewpub. Cloudy golden, creamy head. Orangey nose with lots of fresh saaz hops. Soft and creamy with medium body. Long oily bitter finish. A full flavoured 12°, containing everything I want in a Czech pilsener. By far my favourite beer at the brewpub! motelpogo (7704) - Plzen, CZECH REPUBLIC - JUL 3, 2004
unfiltered pilsner is becoming quite a popular offering from many czech micro´s. this was quite pale with light murkiness and a fat head with big craters in it. vanilla and peach aroma and a good hit of saaz. tasted a bit like mango weis bars witha hint of muesli and a long lingering slightly metallic bitterness, classy stuff, nothing crazy about it, just a really good czech pils mullet (849) - Melbourne, AUSTRALIA - SEP 16, 2007
UPDATED: SEP 17, 2007 On tap at the rather blue brewery - makes sense I suppose. Lovely hazy gold, good head. Quite sulfurous in the best way and the hop aroma seems vaguely German (?) to me. Fresh corn chip yeast flavour, big juicy malt and a tiny bit of saltiness in the finish. Fairly light on for hops relative to other Czech beers but doesn’t really suffer for it. Actually some Zoigls reminded me a lot of this beer. Incredibly fresh and drinkable... and delicious. Beautiful. Quack-Duck (9487) - Down South, GERMANY - MAR 23, 2008
PETka z pivovaru. Hazy pale yellow, enourmous large head, hoppy nose. Very aromatic hops (Saaz), slight fruityness, malty body. Full-bodied despite "only" 4.5%Alc @ 12°. Delicious.
(Rating #1558)

Hazy pale golden coloured, small white head, fresh hoppy nose. The taste is also fresh hoppy, slight malty and mild yeasty with bitter finish and long lasting aftertaste. The best Modrá Hvězda beer.
draft. mild butter nose, mild honey malt sweetness. nicely firm body with mildly fizzy carbonation. slick texture late, mild hop bitterness growing as well, finishing with sparkly acid. good stuff. tampierre (1419) - Pilsen, CZECH REPUBLIC - AUG 23, 2015

Draught at the brewpub during RBESG08. Clody golden with medium white head. Grainy straw malt aroma with some weak sulphur notes and floral hops. Light to medium bodied with soft mouthfeel. Good balance with moderate bitterness. Marko (5929) - Split / Zagreb, CROATIA - JUL 5, 2008
Tap at the brewpub during RBESG
Poured a murky paleish yellow-golden body with a small persistant white head. Some yeastiness could be found in the nose, but the graininess and pungent grainy maltiness are more evident. Some weak hopiness could be found as well. A pleasant grainy taste surrounded by some her bal hopiness. Quite nice but not a world beater in my opinion.
