COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Formerly known as Modrá Hvězda 14° Tmavé. Unfiltered.

Aroma; roasted malts, dark caramel, black toffee, plum, almond, nut. Look; beige head, almost black body. Taste; roasted malts, dark juicy prune, berries, juicy end. Feel; ok. Overall; if less juicy, maybe chocolate would've arrived. [btl from ModraHvezda in Plzen @ [email protected] H7 Tromsö with Fnin & Rune 2017aug31 7363'13]

rickgordon (3878) - Göteborg, SWEDEN - JUL 12, 2008
Draught at the brewpub. The best beer from this brewery. Dark brown colour with creamy head. Powdery chocolate in aroma, along with caramel and dark berries. Semi-sweet with pleasant rounded mouthfeel and good balance from the variation of malts, and accurate hopping. Bit of sweetish coffee here.

asheft (3125) - Ottawa, Ontario, CANADA - AUG 29, 2008
[on tap at brewpub] Coffee-hazlenut-vanilla aroma. Opaque black covered by a tan, flanel blanket that laces the glass. Smooth toasted coffee flavour developing into vanilla. A bit sweet that could use a little more bitterness, but still quite good. Medium body and even a little chewy with moderate carbonation and a slightly bitter finish.

Marsiblursi (3083) - Göteborg, SWEDEN - AUG 6, 2008
(Draught) Pours near black with red hints. The aroma is of dark caramel, dark fruits, dark berries - mostly blackberries, liquorice and dark bread. The flavour is of caramel, light chocolate, dark berries, dark syrup and brown sugar. The mouthfeel is light syrupy, yet clean and soft. Some hop dryness in the finish. Medium bodied.

Draught at the brewpub, dark brown/nearly black with a foamy tan head. Roasted coffee-like aroma. A lightish mouthfeel and smooth palate, with an easy malt flavour, only just lightly roasted. Very easy drinking,
