COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Moeder Overste is a triple beer with 8% alcohol content. With its full, strong taste, it is possibly one of the best brews produced by Lefébvre. Flanders and the Netherlands have been able to appreciate this heavenly beer for the last 15 years. Moeder Overste has a golden hue and is perfumed with spices, wood and fruit flavours mixed with malt to produce a fine bitterness.
It can be served cold at 5°C or with the chill taken off at 10°C, depending on one’s taste. Enjoy.

330ml bottle - - Cracked Kettle, Amsterdam - - Simple, almost lagery, aroma. Carbonation high. Thin, a bit raw, a bit lagery. Not a good example of a Belgian beer, and not a tripel at all.

Bottled 33cl. Appearance: It pours a hazy golden beer with a quick diminishing off white head of a decent size. Some lacework. Aroma: Melon, hops, candy floss, yeast, quite a lot of cinnamon, gooseberries, honey and lemon peel showing up. Faintly acidic. Very pleasant. Flavor and palate: Wonderful. Malty with an excellent hop profile. Hints of crackers, biscuits, caramel, gooseberries, oranges, candy floss and lemon peel. Interesting and atypical. Low bitterness. Nicely balanced. Nice yeast character. Flawless. The finish dry with hints of hops, licorice and crackers. Overall impression: Different, interesting, flawless and very pleasant. Definately worth while purchasing again.
