COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Moeder Overste is a triple beer with 8% alcohol content. With its full, strong taste, it is possibly one of the best brews produced by Lefébvre. Flanders and the Netherlands have been able to appreciate this heavenly beer for the last 15 years. Moeder Overste has a golden hue and is perfumed with spices, wood and fruit flavours mixed with malt to produce a fine bitterness.
It can be served cold at 5°C or with the chill taken off at 10°C, depending on one’s taste. Enjoy.

(03/2007. Bottle). I always forget I’ve had this beer and reorder it off the menu ... the bottle reminds me that, yes, in fact, I have enjoyed more than a few of these in my day. Avec plaisir ... My last notes were "Wow. Nice." Typical triple aromas ... malt, coriander, orange ... but extremely well balanced and inviting. Some alcohol notes back there too. Gold and a bit murky, medium bodied and sweet. Finishes dryer than one would expect. A nice beer, starting better than it finishes (the palate being overwhelmed, in my opinion, by the end), it is one I always enjoy in Belgium -- but seldom order more than once per trip.

Golden with a huge, creamy head. The aroma is fruity with notes of malt and alcohol. The flavour is sweet, fruity with perfumed notes of apple, honey, flower, malt and alcohol. IMO it’s a bit monotonous and stale. 1794
