COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Moeder Overste is a triple beer with 8% alcohol content. With its full, strong taste, it is possibly one of the best brews produced by Lefébvre. Flanders and the Netherlands have been able to appreciate this heavenly beer for the last 15 years. Moeder Overste has a golden hue and is perfumed with spices, wood and fruit flavours mixed with malt to produce a fine bitterness.
It can be served cold at 5°C or with the chill taken off at 10°C, depending on one’s taste. Enjoy.

UPDATED: JUN 23, 2012 One of my favorites, hard to poor without too much foam. Extra challenge. Darker yellow color, hazy when you poor the yeast. Very bitter with a bite. I like to drink this a bit colder than other beers. Good smell, taste stays. Perfect.

Cloudy deep gold with medium creamy head and chunky lacing. I think this beer almost has the quintesential Belgian strong ale aromas. Fresh and dried fruit, raisins, unsweetened chocolate, spices and hints of port wine. A very smooth nicely balanced all the way palate. In some ways it reminds me of a festive ale as it has that citrus, bitter/sweet chocolate flavour coming through even until the 'bitter' end. It may be slightly too sweet for some, kinda like a liquid plum pudding. I'm glad I bought more of these.

nice amber to orange color. A very solid triple. Best consumed fresh in Belgium

Golden, clear. A lot of yeastines in the aroma, together with dried fruit. Taste starts fantastic, with nice balance between fruit and yeastines. It dies quickly.

eer zeer lichte amber kleur. met een redelijk conplex maar wel een lekker aroma, een zeer zachte en zoete smaak. de afdrong is ook een zacht zoet en hop smaak
