UPDATED: JUN 23, 2012 One of my favorites, hard to poor without too much foam. Extra challenge. Darker yellow color, hazy when you poor the yeast. Very bitter with a bite. I like to drink this a bit colder than other beers. Good smell, taste stays. Perfect. OlJuntan64 (1264) - Perth, AUSTRALIA - JUL 21, 2002
Cloudy deep gold with medium creamy head and chunky lacing. I think this beer almost has the quintesential Belgian strong ale aromas. Fresh and dried fruit, raisins, unsweetened chocolate, spices and hints of port wine. A very smooth nicely balanced all the way palate. In some ways it reminds me of a festive ale as it has that citrus, bitter/sweet chocolate flavour coming through even until the 'bitter' end. It may be slightly too sweet for some, kinda like a liquid plum pudding. I'm glad I bought more of these. gregkitzmiller (6) - USA - AUG 29, 2006 does not count
nice amber to orange color. A very solid triple. Best consumed fresh in Belgium NiklasT (144) - SWEDEN - OCT 25, 2017
Golden, clear. A lot of yeastines in the aroma, together with dried fruit. Taste starts fantastic, with nice balance between fruit and yeastines. It dies quickly.
