COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Traditionally, German lagers are made with Noble hop varieties grown in the Hallertau region of Germany. Keeping tradition in mind, but wanting to brew something special for the Uberdrome, we took a traditional recipe using German Vienna and crystal malts. Then, hopped it up with Citra and Cascade hops that are grown in the Pacific Northwest. A malty rich flavor and amberglow are complimented with citrus and apricot aromas. A modern craft twist to a traditional German favorite.

Can: Hazy gold with a thick, off-white head. Orange, grain, caramel aroma. Taste is orange/butterscotch.....pretty tangy at first.....orange-candy-like. It’s different....and really not bad after the initial "twang" to it.

Draft at Wiseguy Lounge at Goodfellas Pizza in Over The Rhine on October 6, 2016. Cloudy gold/amber hue, interesting and offbeat malty nose, good malty flavor with biscuit notes and some complexity, enough hops to keep things honest. A little light in body but an intriguing brew nonetheless.

Can. Orange, butterscotch malt, and straw aroma. Golden yellow with large white head. Moderately sweet tangy orange, butterscotch/caramel malt, and mildly bitter straw flavor. Decent body. Kind of grew on me.

Can. Ultra hazy orange. Toasted malts, light sweetness, some background crispy hops. Relatively boring and yet I found it to be a decent, serviceable fest beer.

Can. Pours dark golden with a thin creamy head. Aromas of Pilsner hops and mild malt. Flavors are caramel malt, slight citrus, toasted bread, and bit of grassiness. Mild flavor. Not a very interesting marzen.

Draft. Poured clear dark amber color with an average frothy white head that mostly lasted with good lacing. Moderate citrus hop and malt aroma. Medium body with a smooth texture and soft carbonation. Medium bittersweet flavor with a medium bittersweet finish of moderate duration. Drinkable smooth brew.

bottle @ Florence Freedom game --- Clear medium orange amber, thin ivory head cover, stripes of lace. Taste is somewhat thin malt with a little fizz and caramel on the swallow. Then, only a whisper of hops. Light, balanced, but also forgettable.

Draft: Awesome malty sweet lager. The hops come in as a crisp finish without taking away from the big hearty malt body that the beer has. Awesome stuff. Perfect for the season.

4oz on tap at the Moerlein Lager House. Clear orange amber color. Thin khaki head, with loose bits of lace. Toasty aroma up front. Caramel. Kind of peppery, good bready malt. Medium body, kind of slick. Smooth, kind of crisp light to moderate carbonation, sort of soft. Moderate sweet taste, lighter bitter. C-hop is subtle if noticeable at all, but overall it’s a solid amber lager. Would be especially nice with some food, I think.
