Lt gold color, medium head. Nicely malty, smooth taste. Full flavor, rich and complex. Mouthfeel is full and round. Flavor is clean and smooth. Aftertaste is malty and rich. Very nice beer. Gusler (2653) - Tucson, Arizona, USA - JUL 28, 2001
Deep malt nose, grainy and earthy, dark amber color, beige head and lace. Some what sweet, and a fair hop presence, quite quaffable. Fresh, clean light and not over powering, but I still like it. WAPITI is the Indian word for ELK, of which Northern Arizona has a bazillion, and do to be hunted soon, my advice WAPITI’s is head for AJO, know one goes there! omestes (6) - Flagstaff, Arizona, USA - MAY 15, 2004 does not count
Not bad. The color isn’t quite as dark as I like it. And it seems to always taste kind of off in bottle, but is pretty good from tap, at the source. Pretty smooth. legion242 (2348) - Richardson, Texas, USA - APR 24, 2002
Amber-brown in color; Head was fluffy to start and then dissipated quickly (dirty glass?); Nice bready aroma. Nice beer if a tiny bit on the thin side. Malty presence was nice, but didn’t quite hit bready. Had this one in a hotel bar, so that is why I question the cleanliness of the glass. Steib (613) - Queen Creek, Arizona, USA - MAR 21, 2004
Dark Amber color but that's were the similarities end with other Ambers. Sweet, malty to hoppy aroma. pleasant full bodied flavor of caramel, hops, malts and a little chocolate. Smooth and slightly bitter end with the aftertaste. Maybe its me, but this beer leans more to a porter. Maybe even an English bitter. Still a very nice beer.

This has a malty aroma, nice orange appearance. Flavor is similar, quite malty with a thinnish finish. Pretty on style. TAR (2745) - Blue Ridge Mountains, North Carolina, USA - DEC 11, 2001
UPDATED: AUG 1, 2005 A very citrus, grapefruit and caramel aroma. Sticky head with good retention, unfiltered which is the way it ought to be. Very good, clean body with some particles floating around. I also am led to believe this beer is unpasteurized. Starts malty and finishes bitter and semii-dry. This is for a bottle of the Wapiti Amber ale. This beer has a nice copper color. A small amount of chill haze, this is good because it means they have not filtered out any of the flavor.. Smells hoppy with notes of lemon grass. Nice mild sweetness that finishes with a smooth bitterness. The hops are here, not over the top, but well balanced with a mix of fresh hop flavor and bitterness. A solid malty backbone carries the hops well. This beer is well balanced, with solid flavor contributions from the hops and the malt, no one is dominating over the other.

Another amber ale from the masses, that didn’t distinguish itself, but wasn’t bad at the same time. The head was excellent, although not sustained great. The lacing was very good. Light floral hopping in the flavor and aroma. Not much else noteworthy, but would have it again. bu11zeye (13029) - Frisco (Dallas), Texas, USA - NOV 30, 2011
(Draught) Pours a clear golden body with a medium white head. Aroma of pine, caramel, and resin. Flavor of dank, pine, caramel, citrus, and pineapple with a moderately bitter finish.
