Orange, with a thin ring of foam. Smells bready, toasty, with a whiff of caramel. Taste is pretty much standard amber - toast and caramel, plus a bit of hops. Slightly off or stale note in the finish. BillKismet (4165) - Seattle, Washington, USA - MAR 22, 2012
Orange-amber, slightly off-white head, highly carbonated. Nice amber malt body with melanoidins apparent. Melanoidin amber flavors ooze through the palate. This one feels aged, or at least oxidized, and prematurely worn from the hot Arizonan atmosphere. Slight sour-sherry finish. burg326 (5630) - Florida, USA - MAR 20, 2012

12oz can as extra. Pours fine, nice golden hue. Smell is rather bland minor citus, it worries me that there will be not taste to it. Sure enough, zero taste. nothing forward or mid palate but harsh hops and metalic off flavors. I can’t finsh my glass it’s too harsh and overbearing. I can’t say this is something i ever want again. My ratings this week have been brought to you by the letters d & c and the name schiller Thanks Dave!
The beer pours an orange color with a semi loose head and some good lace.
The aroma is very toffee forward with some light caramel and a good bit of toasty malt. This is a very rich smelling beer, plenty of sweet and bold pungency.
The flavor is pretty much what I expected from the aroma, toasty malt, some biscuit, and a good bit of fruity hoppiness. The beer is mildly bitter, quite malty, and a little tart. The beer is far from dry but equally far from cloying.
12oz can pours copper with gold edges and smooth moon cratered tan head. The aroma offers up sweet malts, sweet wort notes, some biscuit malts and then loads of sugary sweetness at the end of the draw. The taste is . . . whoa, this is hugely sweet and only tempered by timid notes of various roasted malts. This is too sugary sweet to even finish. Can from mom. Thanks mom! Gold/bronze in the glass, suspended sediment throughout, small flaky white head. Some orange peel, little dry leafy aroma, bit of molasses. Little metallic, nearly offensive. More orange peel, little grainy body, seems oxidized, little heat in the finish. Enjoying this less with each sip. jcwattsrugger (12559) - Florida and, New Jersey, USA - JUL 5, 2011
