UPDATED: FEB 22, 2015 The aroma is strong and tangy with citrus, caramel and a bit of coffee in it. The palate is well balanced. The beer has a good body with flavors of mainly wood, hops and something simply described as "flowers". The finish has some metallic bitterness in itself, but it probably depends on the alcohol content. For being the first barley wine I have drunk it was good ... really, really good. Got this from Systembolaget, Sweden, in Dec 2013. Black with very small head and practically no bubbles. Fantastic smell, almost impossible to describe, caramel, sweet, raisins and phenol in a dark mild and amazing blend. A hint of resin and herbs, Taste is complex and well mixed, sweet in fine concert with bitterness, dry fruit, caramel, liquorice root and a mild tone of alcohol. Round and full body, very well balanced and almost mild. Finish is very long with a extremely fine balance between bitterness and sweet alchohol. Amazingly hard to fully understand, analyze and describe. Fantasy trigging. A very good Barley Wine. I kept this bottle in my beer cellar for more than two years - and it was worth every day of waiting. Why didn’t I save a few more bottles? klas (415) - SWEDEN - JAN 24, 2014
Bottle from Systembolaget (30 SEK). Red-brown with nice head. Intense taste with fruit, a bit sweet, a bit bitter and some alcoholic notes. A real warmer aduring winter. Very good! Might get even better if stored. tderoeck (10639) - Gent, BELGIUM - MAR 17, 2015

Clear red to amber beer, small irregular yellowish aery head, little stable, non adhesive. Aroma: sweet, malty, caramel, fruity, raisins, some green banana, bit sugary. MF: soft carbon, full body. Taste: some strawberry jam, little bit of citrus, sugary, fruity hops. Aftertaste: lemony touch, bit hoppy, caramel, sweet malts, very nice!
Beautiful beer. Intense pineapple aroma with hints of grapefruit, peach, passionfruit, and caramel. Creamy crown. Sweet taste of pineapple, exotic fruits, peppermint candy cane, light bread, with a modest bittersweet finish.
