Bottle enjoyed at home
Pours dark brown, black in glass, thin tanned head, not much lacings. Smell of oak, booze, dark fruits, spices, dark malt. Medium sweet, oaky at first, some liquor as well, dark fruits, dark malts, not well balanced, the barrel aging has flavored this one alot. Moderate bitter, earthy tail. A bit too brutal for me all over

Bottle from Systembolaget. Smell of caramel, dark malts, chocolate and bourbon. Similar taste. Slight boozy, besides that nice. Rounded of flavour.

375ml bottle, 2014 vintage. Black with three finger brown head. Aroma is oaky and vinous up front with a slight acidity followed by burnt, almost ashy notes. Taste is initially very light and fruity with a distinct vinous and slight acidic touch to it followed by oak, roasted malts and again a hint of ash and ending fruity with clear grape notes. Surprisingly light mouthfeel, light carbonation and lasting vinous grape aftertaste intermingled with some roasted and ashy notes. Quite fascinating how the wine barrels have chamged the base beer so dramatically.

Vedervärdig. Jag vet inte om det var något fel eller om den var överlagrad (1 år på flaska) men den luktade och smakade dill. Dillchips som öl var inte gott. Hällde ut den. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

A black beer with a dark brown hear. The aroma has notes of roasted malt, coffee, and wood. The flavor is sweet with notes of roasted malt, coffee, wood, and alcohol, leading to a dry roasted finish.

Dark brown color. Has a vegetal, almost green pepper smell, a touch of fruitiness, chocolately malts. Has a good acidity to go with the roasted malt flavors. Surprisingly balanced sweetness for the style, which was nice. Too many hops mixed together give this a weedy, vegetable flavor. Overambitious, but not bad.
