Dark brown colour with small dark tan head.
Roasted malt, chocolate and dry hops in aroma.
Coffee, ash, roasted and burned malt, bitter hops and dark chocolate in flavour.
Bottle, courtesy of saxo. It pours a reddish dark brown body, clear, and topped by a lasting, beige head. Meaty and roasted nose with some dark fruits. Chocolate too. The flavor is sweet and meaty, roasted and slightly burnt. Dark dried fruits and licorice as well as faint notes of ashtray. Some bitterness in the end. Full-bodied, nicely carbonated and quite dry. A beer with a nice aroma and even nicer flawor, one that would be nice as an all-nighter. 100812 Bov (12636) - Bienne, SWITZERLAND - OCT 13, 2010
courtesy of Per - a pitch black beer under a foamy and long lasting dark beige head; nice lacework; aroma of roasted coffee with notes of vanilla; some decent fruity hoppiness below; medium-bodied and with a fair astringent bitterness; long coffeish, hoppy and roasted aftertaste - very nice one LoFi (1714) - Göteborg, SWEDEN - SEP 25, 2010

The above is an aged bottle, trying the 2012 bottles, I get the same as on draught in 2010: hoppier with citrus and pine, still the same chocolate and licorice, higher bitterness, dry finish.
Bottle. Nice head with good duration. Color is black. Aroma and taste are roast malt, coffee, chocolate and licorice. Nice dry finish.

Bottle. Black colored beer with a beige head. Roasted chocolate and cocoa aroma. Licorice notes and some nuts. Cocoa flavor, roasted, some smoke. Bitter and dry. ClubGonzo (5668) - Bergen, NORWAY - JUL 29, 2010
Pours a black body with a small caramel head. Nose is roasted malts, coffee and hints of licorice. Taste is coffee, bitter hops, roasted malts and hints of chocolate. A surprisingly filling porter, whose taste profile and mouthfeel are almost similar to an imperial stout, or at least a strong porter. Black Rocket Porter is light-bodied and highly drinkable, yet very tasty and well composed porter - being able to pack so much flavor despite maintaining the genre-correct low ABV is a brewing feat not to be underestimated. I would love to drink more from Slottskällan in the future. SirLimpsalot (4162) - SWEDEN - JUN 30, 2010
Bottled (tnx omhper!). Quite much pitch black colour, big brown fluffy head. Aroma is caramel, smoked wood, toffee and nuttyness along with some ashes. Flavour is ashes, liquorice, dark dry fruits and grass. Balanced and complex.
