(Bottle) Cloudy brown colour with frothy, beige head. Malty, fruity nose with notes of cherries, raspberries, caramel, oak wood and hints of balsamic vinegar. Malty, fruity, slightly sourish taste with caramel, raspberries, cherries, black-currant, oak wood, a touch of chocolate, dried fruit, raisins and a slightly tart finish with a slight alcohol glow. Almost full body, dry with a balanced tartness. Fresh and tasty, with a balanced touch of tart fruit. Very nice.

Bottle at home. Two year old bottle. Pours a deep reddish brown color with a light brown head. Interesting aroma of oak, forest floor, cola, licorice, prunes, carrot cake, wild berries and wine grapes. The flavor is sweeter with more prunes, raspberry jam, black currants, oak and some roasted malt in the end. Has a nice and soft mouth feel, full-bodied and a medium berry bitterness. The most interesting beer I’ve tried for a while. Really smooth, well-balanced and complex.
