Small creamy mediumlasting head. Aroma is slightly dry and boozy, burnt caramel, dark malts, alcohol, dark sugar, grass, minerals, oak, hops, citrus peel, candied sugar, dried fruits. Taste is slightly sweet and boozy, minerals, alcohol, dark sugar, grass, burnt caramel, citrus peel, hops, oak, leafs. Medium to longlasting bitterness, dry boozy mouthfeel. Nice, and some years of aging will probably make this oe even better...
Sample from big bottle. Dark ruby with small head. Aroma sweet and intense, plum wine, alcohol, wood. Taste is vinous, plums, madeira, alcohol and apples. Very pleasant ClubGonzo (5685) - Bergen, NORWAY - SEP 27, 2014
Bottle. Pours a murky deep brown body with a large, creamy off-white head. Nose is large boozy notes, wood, mild bourbon, brown sugar, caramel, resin and hints of toffee, figs, licorice and herbs. Taste is loads of alcohol, caramel, burnt sugar, resin, toffee and hints of wood, bourbon and pine. Full body, medium carbonation. Holy bananas, what a booze bomb! The complexity in the back really serves little to hide the onslaught of alcohol which is seemingly permeating every molecule of this crazy stuff. Maybe I’ll buy a bottle and try to mellow it out by cellaring for about 150 years, but then again: maybe not - it really isn’t that good. (Oh, if any admins are reading this: it’s pretty obvious that this is way more an American Strong Ale than anything else...) Ktwse (5600) - London, Greater London, ENGLAND - MAR 15, 2013
Pours cloudy chocolate brown with two fingers of frothy tan head. Aroma of butterscotch, toffee, soy, licorice. Taste is instantly very alcohol sweet but gradually turns into a heavy bitter almond kind of bitterness. Long, bitter finish. Bidy is medium to full and somewhat creamy with low carbonation.

375 ml bottle bought @ Systembolaget. Pours hazy chestnut brown with a frothy beige head that slowly dissipates while leaving some trace and lacing on the glass. Smell is sweet with caramel, curacao, alcohol, sweet dark bread, bourbon, vanilla fudge, roasted coconut, resin, pine needles, prunes, raisins, grapefruit rinds and lemon zest. Taste is sweet and bitter with caramel, plums in brandy, sweet dark bread, alcohol, vanilla fudge, bourbon, coconut, fresh oak, caramelized apples, tart cherries, curacao, figs, pine needles, resin and orange peal. Mouthfeel is round, very tiny dry, tiny astringent, boozy and near full bodied. Finish is slightly sweet and bitter with caramel, bourbon, fresh oak, plums, figs, vanilla fudge and alcohol. Tasty for such a monster of a beer.

Nydelig duft av flere frukter og en anelse citrus. Brun farge. Tynn hinne skum. Nydelig smak av frukter med en lang ettersmak. VsXsV (4560) - Stockholm, SWEDEN - FEB 4, 2013
Bottle. Murky brown liquid with small to medium brown head. Aroma of dark fruit, raw sugar, wood, honey, nail polish, bourbon and booze. A bit phenolish. Taste is medium to high sweet and light to medium bitter with notes of candy, dark fruit and booze. Medium to full bodied with low to medium carbonation. The nail polish component isn’t nice. The high ABV doesn’t add anything to the beer... Do something balanced instead. SirLimpsalot (4550) - SWEDEN - FEB 28, 2013
Stockholm Beer & Whiskey 2012: Russian imp. stout blandat med imperial ipa thomat (4180) - Gteborg, SWEDEN - JUN 30, 2016
Fantastisk fyllig doft av två världar. Stora mörka imp. stout-toner och h\ärliga fruktiga humletoner. En mycket fin balans
Bottle. Dark brown with no head. Fruity and malty tones. Fruit, malt, caramel and sour bitterness. Full body with a long bitter/ sour finish. ansalon (4151) - Stockholm, SWEDEN, SWEDEN - APR 20, 2013
Bottle. Pours dark brown with a red hint. Aroma is everything but the kitchen sink: dark sugar, ripe apple, honey, nutmeg, chocolate...
Taste is sweet with muscovado sugar, applebrandy, caramel, toffee, vanilla, honey, dates with hints of mango, dill, and soya. Some boozy notes in the finish which is not surprising considering the abv. Really good!
