Shared bottle at annual yule beer tasting on board Fridtjofen 06.12.14. Very dark brown. Small, beige head. Dark chocolate, coffee and roasted malt in aroma and taste. Good drinkability. Holmen1 (5867) - Stavanger, NORWAY - DEC 7, 2014
Clear, black body with a small, tan, reasonably long-lived head, ok lacing. Strong roasted aroma of coffee and green-ish coffee beans, and with the same piney feel as the Mohawk Blizzard Imperial Porter. Also quite herbal, and traces of tar and leather. Strong flavour of coffee, with a piney, herbal ashy background. Moderate to light sweet and moderate bitter taste. Close to full-bodied, dry texture and fairly soft carbonation. A good one. beer_est_deus (1296) - örebro, SWEDEN - DEC 3, 2014

Nice light brown creamy longlasting head. Aroma is slightly dry, roasted grain, dark malts, coffee, burnt caramel, puffed rice, ashtray, hops, rubber, hay, grass. Taste is sour-ish burnt, ashtray, burnt coffee, burnt caramel, burnt grain, minerals, sour coffee, hops, pine needles, grass. Medium to longlasting bitterness, harsh burnt mouthfeel. Fair enough, but not my cup of tea.
DAA; Bottle 33 CL. Retired, or not. Pours black with a huge, creamy, lots og lacing, lasting tan head. Nose is heavy roasted malt, coffee, chocolate, vanilla, dark fruit and light spice. Taste is heavy sweet and light bitter with a sweet lasting, warming finish. Body is medium to full, texture is oily to creamy, carbonation is soft. Hopmaestro (1653) - Örebro, SWEDEN - NOV 25, 2014
Aroma of delish chocolates, coffee and a shitload of malts. The taste is at first a rich stout sensation, but a more burnt overtone shines through, or is it just very sharp coffee? As the brew warms up, I also detect a small alcohol sting in the aftertaste. Those small overtones actually are on the edge of tipping over to unbalanced, but it just makes it in the clear. I’d rather have a stout like this than too sweet or too thin. Good winter stout that makes Santa’s beard even curlier. ABS (1060) - Stokke, NORWAY - NOV 23, 2014
Bottle from Vinmonopolet’s BU. Dark brown. A tiny bit of tan head. Leather, tobacco, some pine and red fruit flavour. Mostly bitter. Some sweetness. Good! ERB92 (739) - Bergen, NORWAY - NOV 20, 2014
Coffee, dark chocolate, leather and nice hints of hops and smoke in the aroma. Almost black with a tan head. Medium to heavy sweet and medium to heavy bitter. Medium to full body with a soft carbonation. Dry and bitter finish. Overall a really nice Imperial Stout with some extra hop character, thou i normally prefer a little bit less hops in this style of beer.
