Dupont Foret Bottle (75cl): Golden, cloudy, frothy white head with lots of gas. Spice, estery, yeasty and fruity. Feral, funky, dirty edge. Dirty lees or reductive that in this case add to the complexity. Dry to off try palate. Low bitterness. Very fresh almost crisp probably due to high CO2. Medium weight. creamy texture with an edge. Lively carbonation. Long finish. Other than the funky edge i love the complexity and balance. Certainly old world beer with style.

Bottle 25cl. @home, poured into a trappist glass. Cloudy medium golden, small frothy white head, half-way lasting, yeast circles, light lacing; aroma sweet malts, grain, yeast, butter, toffee; taste medium sweet and bitter, malty, yeast, peppery, earthy notes; dry malty and spicy finish, cardboard; medium body, oily texture, soft carbonation; solid yet bit harsh.

0.75l bottle. Murky golden body with an enormous white head. The carbonation is extremely vigorous. Huge barnyard notes in the aroma after the first whiff followed by some bread, grass, earth, pepper, lemon zest and some floral hops. The barnyard character fades quite quickly though. Taste of honey, hay, lemon zest, pepper and grassy hops. The finish is crisp like a dry sparkling wine and bitter too. Very enjoyable beer. Like a well made strong saison.

BBE 05/2018. Superiso tuuhea viipyvä vaahto, samea oranssinen väri, hapokas. Tuoksu viettelevän tyypillinen makea belgistrong. Suutuntuma makean hedelmäisä, salmiakkinen, kuiva, hapokas mutta pehmeä, nopea. Nautittava.

Golden, high carbonation. Fruity aroma with bit of spices. Taste with more malty notes. Not much happening, but drinkable.

mutz (1083) - NETHERLANDS - MAY 6, 2017

Aroma is crisp grassy, herbal with a faint white pepper aura. Taste brings light pineapple fruityness, pears and honey. Soft and round and the alcohol is really well hidden despite the rather crisp setting for the beer. Dry in the finish with a small funk sensation as well. There’s a lot of small subtle notes flying around in this one. Excellent!

adamnowek (2833) - Brussels, BELGIUM - MAR 17, 2017
Bold golden colour with a creamy, moderately-sized head. Smells yeasty. Taste is orange, spicy yeast, and some herbs.
