Poured from a caged and corked 750ml bottle(room temp) a clear (with some yeast in suspension) light gold and a largish head of foam that settles down to a solid layer with lots of lacing. Also, the second pour produced a nice light gold..no...actually.. cloudy orange that looks even more appealing than the intial pour.
The smell is nice. I note yeast, sour fruit, cloves....pretty complex.
The taste, initially, is on the sweet malty side but that's followed, almost immediately, by hop bitterness that creates a really dry finish. In between the first taste and the finish, there are some nice fruity tones of apricot and plum along with some lemon citrus and yeast that I noted in the smell. I can *just* taste some of the clove that I noted in the smell as well but it is quite subdued. Yum. This is very very nice and the 8.5%abv doesn't come in to play at all in the taste for me.
Bottom line: I really like this Belgian Strong Pale Ale and would not hesitate to buy more. To me, this is a Belgian version of Russian River Damnation and that is *all* compliment, baby. :^) Piepenhenrich (1191) - Steinbach, GERMANY - OCT 8, 2017

First of all, I am a fan of this brewery. I tasted a few of the ales from their selection, and I am never disappointed. They make real neat and crisp ales. I bought this bottle (750 ml) from drankdozijn.nl. Appearance; light golden, slightly cloudy beer with a nice white head. Nose; not so much aroma releasing. A bit of alcohol and fresh hops, slightly light malty. Taste; peach, dried apricot, peppery yeast and hops which tingle on the tongue. Also the taste of alcohol, a bit boozy. Well balanced beer but the alcohol not so hidden. I enjoy it. JaKeAFC (1265) - ITALY - AUG 27, 2017
Bottle at botteltje, oostend. Blond color, hazed, big creamy white head that stays forever. Malty and juicy, sugary fruity esters notably peach, apricot, pear. Yeast is spiced, peppery, aromatic. Taste is medium complex, well structured, bready with a soft bitter end. Full body, soft carbonation, oily texture, thick. Seems like a tripel to me. Finish is smooth, wrapping, savory and long, with an hint of sweet citrus, while abv provide a bit burning dryness. Good BSA, delicious, too strong maybe... hopefully not too hot here. UPDATED: AUG 25, 2017 In my opion this should serv as a benchmark for belgian blonde's. Refreshing, strong and well made. kapusil (1476) - Budapest, HUNGARY - AUG 18, 2017
0.75l bottle. Clear golden body with an enormous white head. The aroma starts with some earthy notes followed by pepper, lemon zest, hay and grass. Taste of bready malts, hay, pepper, lemon zest and grass. The finish is quite hoppy. Very nice beer. Tjeerd (611) - GERMANY - AUG 17, 2017
Medium body and carbonation. Plenty of esters and typically Belgian bittering hops.
