Tasted 25/12/2007. 750ml bottle from Regional Wines and Spirits. Hazy gold with a big and airy virginal white head. Spicy, phenolic alcoholic golden ale with a balancing barley sugar sweetness. Fair bit of fizz. A little too much clove and feremented simple sugars on the palate, for me, but it nicely washed down the salmon, spuds and asparagus. joergen (28992) - Frederiksberg, DENMARK - DEC 16, 2007
Cloudy golden coloured with a huge and lasting white head.
Fruity aroma of spices and yeast.
Flavour of fruits, spices, yeast, grass and hops.
Dry yesty finish of grass. DruncanVeasey (8260) - Nr NUNEATON, Warwickshire, ENGLAND - DEC 10, 2007
Best-a-man-can-get alpine suds standing aloft. Rubbery pineapple/spruce nose with sour wheat, green apple, lemon jelly, sesame, wood, dried apricot and sneaking vanilla. Misty with detritus. Not just lace but huge tufts of cumulus sticking to the sides of the glass. Bitterly woody hop flavour with some alcohol sting. Smooth but lingeringly bitter. Another robustly hopped pale Belgian ale heavy with tropical fruit yeastiness. Really well done, but not quite sure what all the fuss is about... jefcon (1933) - Arlington, Virginia, USA - DEC 8, 2007
Aroma is a bit stale. Lots of citrus, very rustic on the nose. Flavor is fresher, with sour cherry, apple, apricot, yeast and some light spicing. Lots of character, pleanty of spice on the palate. Bullit (4684) - Burgos, SPAIN - DEC 4, 2007
Hazy golden colour, big white head. Aroma of hops, coriander, citrus and other fruits. Flavour is hoppy and fresh, good carbonation. Fruits and spices are present. Dry and sour ending.

750ml - Nice internally glowing gold color, lacing was great. Similar notes to the vielle provision, with the dry hopping taking more of a lead yet keeeping the seltzerlike mouthfeel.. Miksu (5053) - Jyväskylä, FINLAND - NOV 25, 2007
0.33 l bottle. Deep golden color with thick fluffy head. Dry, tart, fruity, honeyish, spicy and warming aroma with notes of vanilla, cristmas cookies, pineapple and lemon. Dry, tart, fruity and spicy flavor with clove, cardamon and cinnamon. Bitter, fruity and herbal finish. Excellent! michael-pollack (4959) - King of Prussia, Pennsylvania, USA - NOV 16, 2007
Draught: Sweet aroma of yeast, apples, pears, coriander and spices. Champagne-like. Poured golden yellow in color with a huge, dense, foamy, white head that lasted throughout. Excellent lacing. Hazy. Medium sweet flavor. Tasted of yeast, alcohol, pepper, and herbs. Light to medium body. Dry texture. Average to lively carbonation. Sweet, dry, white pepper finish. asedzie (831) - San Francisco, California, USA - OCT 28, 2007
Bottle. Pours hazy golden with thick foamy head. Aroma is yeasty, with some bright hop notes. Sweetness in flavor nicely offset by pleasing dry herbal bitterness of hops throughout. Tasting very slight hints of vanilla and orange-y citrus fruit. Full, rich mouthfeel and quite carbonated. Some alcohol flavors in the finish. A mild, straightforward and satifying beer. Perfumy sharp bitter hoppiness. Slight gingeriness too. A little harsh in places. Didn’t really press our buttons, but nothing really wrong with it - wrong time of evening perhaps?
