75cl. corked bottle
Cloudy orange color; big thick head. Very nice aroma, dry maltiness, typical of Tripel beer; smell of cellar and light cork; spicy; oranges. Smooth, malty pleasure; very good body structure, getting more bitter at the end, for a long palate. As usual by Dupont, an exceptional beer!
Not so interesting aroma, but the flavor is better, malty and fruity. I prefer the bottled version…
Bottle. Medium head with medium duration. Color is golden and light hazy. Aroma and taste are malt, hops, almonds, caramel and sugar. harrisoni (19165) - Ashford, Kent, ENGLAND - JUL 28, 2005
Bottle. I thought that this was a tad bland. Nothing wrong with it, just not enough to set it apart from other similar beers

750mL bottle split two ways - pours a hazy golden colour with an off-white head. Great body, with yeast, mild spice and great hoppy flavour. An excellent tripel. Oakes (18543) - Vancouver, British Columbia, CANADA - MAR 12, 2001
UPDATED: FEB 16, 2003 2 years old - Cloudy tan with swirlig carbonation and a thick, foamy head. Aroma shows pears, lots of yeast, leather, white pepper, coriander, bread crust, herbal hops; palate has sweet notes of caramel flan, pepper, dried peaches, barnyard with cobwebs. Finish is dry (pepper, alcohol), with a slight acidity. Vintage Rating: 9 5 8 5 16 = 4.3 (I thought it had improved hugely until I looked at my old rating notes and realized this beer started pretty good).chrisv10 (18217) - DENMARK - OCT 14, 2011
Rating when fresh: Very well-balanced abbey ale. Tan colour (is this a tripel or a dubbel); good yeast bite, but not overwhelming like Saison Dupont; sweet malt flavours develop well, and the finish is notably spicy (cinammon, pepper, maybe even cardamom).
Bottle. Slightly hazy dark yellow with big off-white head. Aroma is malt, yeast and fruit. Flavour is malt, yeast, fruit, spices, sweet, little citrus, hops and a little bitter. TBone (18013) - Pori, FINLAND - FEB 14, 2005

Hazy golden, huge white creamy head, lace. Strange aroma of yeast, grassy hops and boiled vegetables. Good crisp hoppy, lemony blonde flavor but also some vegetables. I wonder if this is characteristic to this brew. Dissapointing, but gets better when all yeast is poured.
Bottle, 33cl. A mostly clear, golden beer topped by a fine, off-white head. Some very small floaties. Yeasty, fruity nose with pale malts and a good spiced touch. Some cellar and a nice hoppyness too. Wheaty, spiced and sugary-sweet flavor. Some cellar, and a really good hoppyness too. Not overly bitter. Good bitterness in the finish, but also a warming touch from the alcohol, some spiced notes I guess is from the yeast, and lots of sugary sweetness. Full-bodied and effervescent. Overall, a really nice beer that would benefit from less sugar. 100423
