The cork comes off with a loud POP! It reads 2007.
Pours a fully clouded orange with a nice off white head. Looks just beautiful. Nose is a consistent yeasty funk. Flavor is very nice. Very nice indeed. Nice full funk with a mild sugar tone that is not very visible. Mostly it is the yeast just dancing in your mouth. Very robust. Very hearty. Feel has a high carbonation that is almost a bit attacking on the tongue. Definitely worth trying.

Draft at Taps Beer Bar, Changkat, Kuala Lumpur. Poured a hazy golden orange colour with a frothy white head and lots of bubbles. The aroma is Belgian yeast, light toffee caramel, floral hop. The flavour is moderate bitter light sweet with a crisp fresh, malt, dry yeast, floral hop bitter palate and a lingering bitter finish. Medium bodied with lively carbonation.

From a 33cl bottle. Pours a golden body with a white head, staying thin until the end. Aroma is mostly malts. Flavors, of malts, hops, vanilla and spices. Balance of flavors is wonderful, a real ale. Medium to strong body, nice medium bitterness from the hops. Lovely long lasting flavors in mouth.
Excellent, and highly recommended. simontomlinson (673) - Blackburn, Lancashire, ENGLAND - NOV 10, 2017
Off white, frothy, airy head soon left a good cover on a finely effervescent hazy golden body
Spicy aroma with banana, peach, haribos & bubblegum.
Medium bodied, well carbonated, sharp on the back.
Bitter/Sweet tastes of yeast, peach, banana, honey, citrus, & orange with a long tangy, peppery finish. Bill Becker (2003) - Casper, Wyoming, USA - OCT 18, 2017

Poured from a caged and corked 750ml bottle(room temp) a clear (with some yeast in suspension) light gold and a largish head of foam that settles down to a solid layer with lots of lacing. Also, the second pour produced a nice light gold..no...actually.. cloudy orange that looks even more appealing than the intial pour.
The smell is nice. I note yeast, sour fruit, cloves....pretty complex.
The taste, initially, is on the sweet malty side but that's followed, almost immediately, by hop bitterness that creates a really dry finish. In between the first taste and the finish, there are some nice fruity tones of apricot and plum along with some lemon citrus and yeast that I noted in the smell. I can *just* taste some of the clove that I noted in the smell as well but it is quite subdued. Yum. This is very very nice and the 8.5%abv doesn't come in to play at all in the taste for me.
Bottom line: I really like this Belgian Strong Pale Ale and would not hesitate to buy more. To me, this is a Belgian version of Russian River Damnation and that is *all* compliment, baby. :^) Piepenhenrich (1285) - Steinbach, GERMANY - OCT 8, 2017
