A great introduction to the smile-inducing charms of the Gamay grape, Jadot’s Beaujolais-Villages is lighter in body and tannins than most conventional red wines. Its juicy fruit and lively, refreshing character are hallmarks of a well-made Beaujolais. Serve slightly chilled for best enjoyment. shoulderbroken (4256) - Tokyo, JAPAN - OCT 7, 2016
Bottle. Nice grassy hop aroma with a little prickle. Some light citrus and caramel maltiness too. Taste is very nice, biscuity and caramel malt, lightly bitter finish. Very easy drinking. biirusaikou (2705) - - SEP 30, 2015
Draught at Craftsman. Caramel malt, plum, orange, bit of cinnamon, fairly dry finish. Not bad for the style, pretty drinkable, I guess I was expecting another mediocre gift brew. GenDV138 (7899) - Falls Church, Virginia, USA - DEC 13, 2014
330 ml bottle from Mojiko Retro Beer. Clear amber with off-white head. Aromas of caramel, citrus, malt, floral, toasty notes. Tastes of Citrus, malt, toasty notes, floral. Medium body with a semi-dry finish. Pretty nice. GenkiGonzo (1096) - Kyoto, JAPAN - SEP 19, 2014
Bottle at Takase in Mojiko. Amber gold pour, small white head. Orange aroma, some malts. Flavour is dry with nice bread malts to balance the orange. A nice surprise with lunch.

Tap at Enibru.
Aroma: Light, dried orange, grain, yeast.
Flavor: Bitter dried orange and mikan, grain and yeast.
Comment: A bitter style amber lager. Good balance with firm bittering, unlike an amber ale. Aroma is maybe an 8 on this one. MartinT (10155) - Montreal, Quebec, CANADA - APR 25, 2013
My Bottom Line:KyotoLefty (10810) - Kyoto, JAPAN - SEP 2, 2012
This crisp quencher shares mildly biscuity, toasted malts over light spicy hoppiness for a competent yet generic experience.
Further Personal Perceptions:
-A veil of foam covers the hazy amber.
-This is quite fruity for a lager... which makes me wonder about their lagering practices…
-The finish needs more hop bitterness. As is, it is completely forgettable and doesn’t make you want to jump back for another sip.
-Smoother, more natural carbonation (this was very prickly) would have helped.
On tap at The 2nd Vine.
Draught at the Ji-Beer Festa in Hiroshima, 2012. Medium amber, clear. Nice fruity caramel nose. Subtle. Nothuge but good. Crackery, bready malts, with caramel flavors, sweet, but a dry finish. Really well done and balanced beer.
