Ik hou niet van rookbieren. Maar deze gaat nog net. Omdat ie wat bokkiger is. Die droge nasmaak is echt niks voor mij. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

Draught (PINT Bokbier Festival 2015, Amsterdam) - Copper with a slight haze. Smoked malt, plums and raisins in the aroma. Biscuity malt, caramel, peach and some smoky notes can all be detected in the nicely balanced taste.

Bottle at home. Aroma of sweet malt, smoked ham, charred wood, caramel, hint of chocolate. Flavour is moderate to medium sweet with a little bitterness in the finish. Body is medium. Definitely a tasty smokey Dunkler Bock.

[9/28/14] Draught sample at Borefts After Festival 2014 in Rotterdam. Nice clear red-amber. Pleasant smoked wood and sausages aroma. Sweetish flavor, malty, caramelly, with a nice meaty smokiness and a nutty note. Medium-bodied. Quite nice.

Sampled draft @ BAF 2014. Thank you! Dark brown, creamy tanned. Sweet iron, lots of mocha, sugar, smoke is very light. Taste is iron, metal, sweet sugar, herbs, like in the way of smoke. Okay body. Far from what it could have been.

(Mommeriete Rookbock) Bottle 300ml at home, thanks to bierkoning! Poured into a snifter, ABV 6.7% Deep red brown colour on the body, small but very thick, creamy brown-ish head, with excellent retention, leaving medium lacing on the glass. Good activity in there. Aroma is smoke, black olives, milky chocolate after a swirl of the glass. Very appealing. Taste of turf, smoke, milky chocolate again, light roasted malts, a bit of caramel. Great. Medium body with good carbonation, smooth texture and nicely dry on the palate. Great bock, what a surprise.
