On tap at Borefts BF 2012, Bodegraven. Pours dark brown with a creamy tan cap. Rich, bready nose with moderate yeast, toffee, dates. Big sweet flavor, smooth, with semi-dark sugars, ripe fruits, figs, dates, a bit more toffee. Full bodied with fine, creamy carbonation. Lightly warming finish with candied fruits, good and smooth bread, ripe fruits, plums, dates. Great balance. Very smooth. Grovlam (4220) - Copenhagen, DENMARK - JAN 13, 2008
Vrouwe Van Gramsbergh. Mommeriete brewery. 10%
Bottle. [Great two day tasting session @ Papsoe] Average thick creamy beige head that mostly lasted. Muddy amber color. Fair display of lacework. Aroma of bread, grain, caramel, date, plum, raisins, vinous, port wine. Over the palate heavy mix of dried fruit, yeast, bread, light warming alcohol. Quit complex and again my favorite style of beer. Full bodied with an average carbonation and thick texture. Moderated to heavy sweet flavor with a hint of acidic and bitterness. Somewhat lingering dried fruit and light alcoholic finish. 8 / 4 / 8 / 4 / 17 = 4.1

Beautiful appearance of a dark red wine colored body with a small but firm dark head. Wine and oak scents dominate, resembling a nice spicy syrah. Delicious all around, full of nuts, dates, figs, cherries, oak wine barrel tannins. Also a bit of smoke in there as well. Possibly too sweet at times, but that’s just trying to find a complaint.
from crackedkettle.com - hazy ruby-brown colour with a little beige foam; complex aroma of hazelnut, licorice and vanilla; sweet and full-bodied with a decent bitterness; very long nutty, woody finish with some residual sweetness

Bottle, 10% ABV, many thanks to bierkoning. Hazy red brown color with medium beige head. Aroma of honey, caramel, prunes, figs, nuts. Taste, sweet malt, figs, raisins, dates, caramel, prunes, alcohol. Light bitterness in alcoholic finish. Another tasty beer from Mommeriete Brouwerij. erickok (6037) - Leuven, BELGIUM - SEP 29, 2012
Mahogany brown bodied and medium creamy tan head. Fresh forest, resin and bready base. Very nice. Surprisingly good! Solid bitterness, bit of alcohol. Good brew. (On tap at Borefts 2012) jackl (8029) - Minneapolis, Minnesota, USA - OCT 8, 2012
Keg @ Borefts 2012. The pour’s deep brown with a tiny head. The nose is big spicy red fruits, nut bar, mulled wine and yeasty banana. The taste is rich red berry-stained wood, chocolate donut, spices and more fruitcake. Wonderfully big, expressive body. A real sipper. Rich palate, complex. Overall, pretty excellent. 30cl bottle. Classic dark ale. Not too powerful taste, hits the right notes. Quite conservative with its flavour, with the usual slightly molassesy flavour these sorts of ales tend to have. mmyohane (108) - Helsinki, FINLAND - MAR 6, 2015
Aroma has a lot of plums, raisins and pear. Caramel malts. Pours dark brown with a small beige head that leaves lacing. Taste has medium sweetness and light bitterness. Also brown sugar, plums, strong maltiness. Full body with thick mouthfeel. Almost no carbonation. Malty finish. Overall a very good beer.
