Porters are dark and delicious. Brewed with lots of dark grains, Big Papa Porter is rich with chocolate and caramel flavor. A creamy texture and full fluffy head make this a smooth brew.

Draft at the brewpub. Pours dark nut brown with a smooth, creamy beige head and lots of lacing. Tastes like sweet nutty malt, faint dark chocolate, toffee, some earth, and burnt wood. Light/medium body and low carbonation. Smells like roasted malt, earthy, nutty, and smokey woody.

Nice roasty palate. Very clean finish. Not an amazing beer but a very good one.

Pours a translucent brownish-black on tap with fluffy tan head that dissipates to thin cap leaving great lacing. Aroma of dark roast coffee and slight chocolate malt. Taste is almost all the coffee, with a bitter hop finish and a smooth mouth.. Pretty solid porter.

Pours opaque dark brown with a small tan head that sticks to the glass. Roasty flavors that are slightly bitter on the tongue. Can’t wait until this scavenger hunt is over. Just want to eat my pizza...

Inky black-brown, with a big pillowy tan head. Rich chicory roast aroma. Clean and roasty - cold - without any creosote. Well done. Lightly bitter, not sweet. Medium body. Coffee finish. Nothing fancy, just good. Recommended.

Local beer... cool. On tap, served in an ice cold mug (guh). Aroma is muted roasted malt. Tastes are cocoa, roasty dark malt and coffee. Thin to medium texture. Tinny vibe in the light bitter finish. Ok.

Tallahassee, Fl - on tap at the brewpub. Very dark black pour, thick, sticky khaki head, nice lacing left on the glass. Aroma is roasty and smoky. Full bodied with some day old coffee accents, some baker’s chocolate. Mouthfeel is initially chalky and dry (in a good way) and ends up slightly oily. Good rib-sticking porter.

First to rate! 9/25/11. On tap at the first ever Momo’s release! Black pour, mor eso dark brown under the light, with a small but nice creamy tan head that fades but laces quite a bit. Light aroma of grainy malt, dusty chocolate, and a touch of cream. Light flavor as well - some chocolate, cream, and a bit of tannic bitterness. A bit thin - it reminds of Guinness in many ways. Will serve the masses well.
