Really nice, basic stout. Moderate roast. Lightly hopped. Good body. Very drinkable. stevencon (522) - Sarasota, Florida, USA - APR 8, 2013
Black pour not much head. Aroma of burnt grain chocolate slight pepper notes and coffee. Taste similar light body for a stout but kind of fits with this beer. Drinkable but not very complex. DialSquare (4978) - Columbus, Ohio, USA - MAR 23, 2013

Draft: Poured a black brown color with a tan color head. Aroma was licorice and malt. Taste is soft malts, some licorice and coffee bean. Aurelius (5294) - Tallahassee, Florida, USA - MAR 1, 2012
Rich stout aroma with only slight creosote. Very smooth, nice roast balance. Medium sweetness with nuts. Creamy, satisfying mouth. Lightly tangy, lightly sweet roast finish. Very very good. Consumed during a working dinner while watching the last UVA/FSU bb game of the regular season. Thanks, Uncle Timmy.

2/27/12. On tap at the brewpub. Black pour with a nice dark tan head that cuts in half but sticks and laces pretty heartily. Slightly fruity aroma hits first, followed by touches of milk chocolate and plenty of roast, striking dark chocolate and coffee notes. Rich flavor hits the tongue with a smack of bitter, roasted malts and a touch of acidity. Following that there is a sense of milk chocolate, slight butterscotch, and a dull, slightly bitter, lingering minerally aspect. PorterPounder (7888) - Tallahassee, Florida, USA - FEB 23, 2012
Tallahassee, Fl - on tap at the brewpub. Deep dark black motor oil like pour with a thick mocha colored head that leaves a nice web of sticky lacing. Aroma has a nice coffee essence to it with a hint of black earth. Flavor has some creosote smokiness, a hint of licorice, some bitter chocolate. Chalky thick mouthfeel. Well done.
