Moderately foggy, dark oak color with a light tan, spongey head. Cereal, lightly musty malt aroma. Dry, nicely hoppy, toasty. Tangy rye quality. Edgy, bitter finish, medium body, good carbo. Sometimes it seemed like an amber, sometimes it was almost like a brown. On tap, sunny Saturday in May.

5/19/12. On tap at Momo’s. Slightly hazed amber pour with a small khaki head. Biscuity cracker aroma with maltiness. Some sweet caramel in the flavor with dry graininess and a hint of rubber. Eh. PorterPounder (7896) - Tallahassee, Florida, USA - MAY 12, 2012
Tallahassee, Fl - on tap at the brewpub. Murky medium copper pour, slight off-white head, brief wisps of lacing. Aroma is somewhat neutral but has a nice spicy bent to it. Flavor has some citrus notes, a touch of cinnamon, some nuttiness, with a minty flourish in the finish. Sticky mouthfeel. Pretty solid.
