3/30/12. On tap at the brewpub. Slightly hazed dark golden pour, touches of orange, with a nice, thick khaki head that sticks and laces a ton. Light citrus aroma with plenty of bready and biscuity aspects along with just a touch of hop bitterness. Slightly bolder flavor with more of a bitter hop kick, a touch of citrus, and lingering spicy, bready, maltiness. Decent, but somewhat laid back and typical brewpub fare. Tallahassee, Fl - on tap at the brewpub. Murky dark gold pour with a soft white head with good lacing. Neutral aroma with a brief hint of mint. Doughy, slightly doggy, medium fruity aroma. Foggy apricot color. Initially, a stiff, almost-white, one finger head which collapses into a film. Tangy, nicely hopped, lemon rind/pith bitterness. The hops are more prominent towards the end - it isn’t a frontal assault. Good balance, which is difficult for rye. Medium body.
