Lovely winter beer enjoyed at the Gate cinema. Quite sweet in the fruity, toffee malt with rye adding spicy notes. Also sweet fruit from the hops - orange and pine. Very little head or carbonation. Need some snow outside and a fire inside. gunnar (9019) - Sandnes, NORWAY - APR 16, 2016

(Cask at Craft Beer Co Clapham, London, 29 Nov 2014) Ruby red colour with foamy, beige head. Malty, fruity taste with citrus, blood orange and rye bread. Malty, fruity taste with notes of pink grapefruit, rye bread, orange peel and a balanced spicy/citric bitterness. Medium body, with a certain sweetness. Tasty, but the rye character gets a bit sharp. Quite nice. tdtm82 (1701) - Essex, ENGLAND - JAN 17, 2015
Cask, Ale House, Chelmsford. Pretty much a hoppy take on a red ale. Latest batch is far hoppier than I remember it being. The rye malt backbone is solid and it’s very drinkable. It’s considerably fruity and pungent. Resinous and piny. Assertive but not ott. Drinkable. I enjoyed it.
