3.3 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 14/20
22 oz. bottle. Dark copper pour, with a big, beige head. Very malty nose of caramel and syrup, with a little wet grass and honeysuckle. Very bitter flavor, with a little malt backbone. Medium to heavy body, a little chalky, and sticky. Overall, this is a mediocre IIPA. The hop profile seems a little flat, the malts are a little too dominant.
Decent enough dips. Biscuity body with citrus and floral hops. Thick mouthfeel. Heavy. drowland (8880) - Georgia, USA - MAR 2, 2016
2/20/16. Bomber. Orange pour with a small khaki head. Muted hop aroma, floral, some citrus, doughy, caramel. Okay flavor, citrus, pine, floral, caramel, doughy. Eh. Jabah (506) - Winter Park, Florida, USA - NOV 21, 2015
This is the 3rd type of Blind Pirate that I tried, including the regular and blood orange. I liked this better than the regular, but maybe not as much as the blood orange. The extra hop/IBU balances out the malty sweetness,....which I think the regular Blind Pirate could be balanced a little better, so maybe this is what it needs. Good citrus and bitter in there. Not top notch quality but maybe towards the bottom of 2nd tier for this style. Cloudy darker orange to copper appearance. I would sample this again. Sampled wt gabf. Clear amber. Bitterness is big. Grapefruit citrus. A big bite to it. Pae malrs are second to the hops. hackintozerocool (4) - Georgia, USA - AUG 12, 2015 does not count
So far in my limited experience this is the best IPA I've had. It's just another example of Monday Night making great beer.

Pours dark and cloudy amber with a finger of light tan head. Aroma is sappy resin citrus with toasted sweet malts. Flavor is bitter and engrossing on the palate. There are sweet floral notes but the majority is consumed by the bitter hop character.

12oz bottle of expired beer thanks to some douche bag on HBT!!! Pours an Ice-T brown color with a small beige head of foam. Aroma of rotted citrus and loads of malty expired IPA! Taste is herbal, malty, lemon ice-t, and pine. Taste is better then the aroma, but once again an expired beer from a shitty trade! mvp (263) - Harper Woods, Michigan, USA - MAR 20, 2015
slight simcoe aroma. Dark orange with yeast floating. Kind of a harsh flavor with a little bit of aftertaste. Tmoney99 (14747) - Cincinnati, Ohio, USA - MAR 13, 2015
Bottle shared by Dr Silverworm. Poured clear copper color with an average frothy white head that was mostly lasting with excellent lacing. Moderate to heavy citrus hop aroma. Medium to full body with slick texture and soft carbonation. Medium to heavy bittersweet flavor with a medium to heavy bittersweet finish of moderate to long duration. This is a solid beer. maekchu (3997) - Hirakata, JAPAN - MAR 9, 2015
Bottle. Big citrusy nose, and a bit stinky, rude fruitiness. Bright but hazy copper color. Caramel, tasty hops, some overripe fruit, sugar. Some balance in finish. Medium body. Not quite a caramel bomb... but almost. Very nice aromas.
