330 ml bottle. Pours a clear yellow colour with thin white head. Aroma is malty, toasted grains, fruits. Taste is fruity, grain, grass. Refreshing but will be quickly forgotten.

Bottle. Clear yellow golden with a white head. Aroma of grains, grass and vegetables. Sweet and grainy, with light bitterness, slightly tart aftertaste. Light-bodied, almost watery texture. Pretty bland.

Alengrin (5722) - BELGIUM - DEC 20, 2014
The pale lager in this series, made with rice. Pours a pale and clear golden blonde with greenish hue under a sticky, snow white head. The cooked rice is immediately evident in the nose, reminiscent of an Asian lager, a bit sweaty too, some grassy hops, white bread and unmistakable iron. Malt sweet taste, sourish rice, minerally, smooth and thin, a bit watery even, with some grassy hop bitterishness in the finish. Different from your average Belgian ’pilsje’, made me think of a tropical lager but with a higher hop profile.

Bottled 330ml. -at Brežice Beer Fest. Pale golden coloured, small white head, usual dry nose. Slight grainy, faint fruity, minimal hops...yes like chewed up cheap bubblegum. Dry finish.

Brežice Beer Fest, thanks Ogi! Despite recent butchering of the terms saison, berliner weisse and sahti, NOTHING has been butchered as much as the term "pilsener". This poured a golden body with a white head. And that’s where every similarity to a pils stops. Dry sourish aroma, chewed up bubblegum. Sourish, bad vinous vague taste - rice FFS. Unless you really have no choice...

cmacklin (1310) - Lethbridge, Alberta, CANADA - NOV 15, 2014
330 ml bottle. Pours a clear, golden yellow with an average, frothy, short lived, white head. Malt aroma with grass and corn. Sweet flavour of malt, grass and corn with a slightly dry, bitter finish. Light body with a watery texture and soft carbonation.

Borup (15350) - Albertslund, DENMARK - NOV 13, 2014
33 cl. bottle. Clear golden colour with a white head. Aroma and flavour of grass, grain and metallic.

Maakun (6434) - The Hague, NETHERLANDS - NOV 6, 2014
Bottle. Clear light golden with small white head. Grass, sweet grains, artificial marzipan, herbal bitterness with some untie eggplant. Light bodied. Not as bad as I'd imagined, boring lager.

allmyvinyl (11025) - Edinburgh, SCOTLAND - NOV 2, 2014
330ml bottle from Appellation Wines. Pours clear pale gold, thin white head. Aromas of grass, cereal. Taste is light sweet. Astringent finish. Not great.
