Bottle 50cl a clear yellow beer with medium creamy head. Nose is light creamy, aroma is malty and light weizen like, low fruity, a very basic one. BlackHaddock (7572) - Shropshire, ENGLAND - JUL 20, 2012
Brown half-litre bottle; best before 6th Oct 2012 and poured into a ’Frankziskaner’ Weissbier glass on 20th July 2012, the second beer in my ’Ratskrone’ tasting evening.
Looked the part, almost clear body of golden promise with a huge foaming crown of white fluffy bubbles on top.
Yeast and wheat in the aroma; cloves and vanilla arriving as the beer warmed a little.
Semi-sweet feel to the taste: banana flavours begin to show early on with the yeasty, wheaty esters from the nose coming out to play too.
I know it’s a cheap supermarket beer, but it worked for me.
