I had this on tap at Alesmith. Nice combination of smokey & chocolate with a nice mouthfeel and finish. Well done

Has a medium brown colour. Light smoky, toasty aroma. Maybe the nose shows a touch of acidity. Acrid smoke on the palate, toast. A bit thin? The thing is, though, it improves a fair as it warms. Tap at the brewery. Pours brown with a medium, creamy tan head, medium retention with good lacing. Aroma is chocolate and toast malt with leaves and earthy hops, light smoke and dates. Flavor is chocolate malt, toast and smoke notes, dates, light earthy hops and bitterness with a dry finish. Medium body and carbonation.

Extremely dark mahogany brown with a moderate tan covering.
Nose is light roast, smokey tones, liqourice, tobacco.
Taste comprises dark fruit notes, dark toffee, cocoa rub, earthy, light smoke.
Medium + bosy, fine carbonation, semi drying close.

Had on tap at Monkey Paw in San Diego. Pours is dark brown with a thin tan head. Aroma is slight coffee. Flavor follows with roasted malt dark coffee. Finishes pretty dry. Nice beer.

Pours a dark brown-black with a one finger tan head with nice lacing. Aroma is of smoked roasted malts, dark coco, coffee, molasses, caramel, some woody notes, and some light smoked meat notes. Taste is smoky roasted and toasted malts, bakers coco, coffee, woody notes, molasses, sweet malts, and a light ashy note. Has a medium body with a slightly creamy mouthfeel and a semi dry, slightly bitter, medium-long finish. Overall, a tasty and complex smoked brown that is quite unique. Draft at Hamilton’s Tavern. Pours dark, dark brown with a half inch of khaki foam that doesn’t leave much lacing. Big smoked malt notes on the nose which suggest bacony pork. Kind of sweet and mapleish on the tongue. Coats the tongue nicely. Nice!
