On tap @ Stone Liberty Station. Dark brown pour with a tan head. Roasty nose with lots of coffee and a bit of smoke. Some dark chocolate and a little licorice. Kind of hoppy, too. Flavor has a nice mild bitterness to it of coffee beans, roast, and dark baking chocolate. Plenty of earthy hops and some floral and woody notes. Not bad. Taste comprises roast malt, spice, liqourice, chocolate.
Medium bodied, fine carbonation, semi drying close with a subtle hoppy overcoat.

Pours pitch black with a one finger tan head with nice lacing. Aroma is of roasted malts, coco, coffee, molasses, sweet caramel, and some sweet malts. Taste is about the same as arom with the addition of some piney Nd grassy hops in the back end. Has a medium body with a creamy mouthfel and a semi bitter, slight dry, medium-long finish. Overall, a tasty stout that is pretty hoppy and drinkable for the style.

Aromas are of minerals, toasty, roasty, hoppy, pine, citrus, bakers chocolate, and bready. Minimal esters. Clean. Flavors are dry, dusty, cocoa, leather, roasty. Medium bitter. Earthy. Lingering bitter roast. Medium to lively bubbles. Lasting dry roast flavors. Good, roasty, and bitter stout. Great new offering by a new brewery! On tap at Urge in Poway as part of a Monkey Paw night. 9 brews on tap from them. Black pour with fizzy tan head. Nose is deep rich cocoa with hints of dark fruit. Taste is dark tart up front followed by an assault of dark roastiness. Not the deep rich smooth stout, this one is a cold cup of French roast coffee. Tart lil twang out back.
