Draught at the brewpub. Sweet toffee, butter, grassy hops. A cloying crystal bomb with cake and then dirty grassy hop finish. Been finding a lot of these lately. Doesn’t really work for me. Too much of the caramel.

A pretty weak IPA, especially by SD standards. It is super sweet with no hop bitterness whatsoever. brokensail (16449) - Dublin, California, USA - JUL 23, 2012
Pours a hazy amber color with a fluffy off-white head. Strong citric character with lots of grapefruit, tangerine, and lemon peel. There is a nice touch of pine and some sweet toffee malt. A bit of floral hops in there, too. The flavor is a good blend of sweetness and bitterness. Plenty of pine and grapefruit peel with a very strong citric hop profile and flavor. The bitterness is mostly present on the finish. saxo (18300) - Højbjerg, Aarhus, DENMARK - JUL 19, 2012
