Rich cherry red with a handsome crimson cap.
Nose is tangy red berries, funk whiff, spice, straw.
Taste comprises blackcurrant yoghurt, acidic bite, red berry must, funk, damp wood.
Medium bodied, fine carbonation, semi drying close with a rising level of acidity.

Bottle shared at Ryan’s August 2016 tasting. Pours a deep purple body with thin white lacing. Nose is rich raspberry, tart candy and grape juice. Bottle, pours cranberry purple. Notes of Sour fruit, oak, blackberry mild acid but easier going than a de garde. It kind of had that appearance. Pretty nice as she warms, some of the overly sour funk blew off but it’s too much battery acid in the flavor. bottle shared by a friend, poured a deep dark red colour with a slight pink head on top. nose reminds me a lot of a old icecream we had a few years ago, sweet red fruits, black currants are more dominant, cranberries, cassis, oak, crisp grains, earth cellar funk, citrus, slight lactic yoghurt. aftertaste leads to a very nice fruited finish. could have used a bit more carbonation. but very enjoyable

Murky raspberry-violet like a cherry-raspberry juice. Sharp earthy funky nose with a fair bit of currant throughout. Big lacto sour flavor with loads of blackberry and currant, earthy funky fruity tones, and a slightly abrasive sour finish. Big and fruit filled but very funky and earthy-sour. Batch 0 (different from the bottles just released) Pours a very nice ruby red, its on the darker side of the color spectrum. With a light pinkish head. Smells is well balance with the fruit, yeast, and a bit of acidy. Taste has those blackberries, a bit of yeast, a hint of acidy, with a bit of yogurt in the finish. It is a bit puckery, not too much carb, with a light mouthfeel. Overall it is super easy to drink, nice and fruity.
