On draft at the brewery. It pours an amber gold color with an off white head. The aroma has some fruity malt with berries, orange, mild citrus notes and a little pepper. The flavor is pleasant with dried fruit medley, apricots, plum, papaya and some coconut. A little yeast spice in the finish. I really liked this. brokensail (16444) - Dublin, California, USA - MAR 12, 2014
On tap @ Monkish. Clear amber pour with a white head. Really piney, woody, herbal hop nose. Caramel and toffee malts with a slight nuttiness. Slight earth and cocoa powder. Flavor is nicely bitter and balances the sweetness. Candied orange peel, pine, and woodsy herbs up front. Sweet toffee and caramel all the way through. Slight grass and tea on the finish. On tap at the source. Pours with a hazed amber brown hued body with a large and retentive off-white head (creamy texture). Aromas are hoppy, grainy, biscuity, spicy, light citrus, very low roast. Low on esters for a belgian yeast. Flavors are malty, toasty, bready, light citrus hop character. Low spice. Very clean yeast presence all things considered. Medium carbonation.
